What is it that attracts people to those looooong threads??

I know that I'm new here but I read a bit before I posted. I was amazed that there are several very long threads here that just seem to go on and on. There's one where someone just seems to post numbers just for the sake of posting numbers. I don't get it. There's others where one word is added to another. I don't get that either. Is it some sort of a cult thing??

It's just the thing....stay here long enough and you may find it entertaining...it's also a good way to get your posts up....
