From what I can gather, it's kind of a Canadian version of Kool-Aid. Here's some advertising quotes from the web:

if you ever, and i mean EVER need a sugar fix and you dont mind drinking sweet stuff, then Freshie is the thing to buy and mix.
it is another brand of sweetened powder along the same line as Kool-Aid and the others.
if i recall, the grape is absolutely out of this world!
so does this make me a Canadian Wankerhead now Siren?

i dont think the yogurt/ice cream stores are the same as the Freshie brand of powdered mix we are thinking about here.
at least i dont recall them ever having branched out into those fields although, you never know with brand name products in canada and the u.s.
