This was written by a friend of mine at a Yahoo group, lovette, who kindly gave me permission to post it here. Enjoy. :)

What Is a Submissive

It is NOT weakness of character
nor corrupt of moral standards.

It is NOT synonymous with stupidity,
sleazy or doormat.

It is NOT about abuse, disrespect,
uneducated or lack confidence.

It IS the grace and poise
with which you enter a room;
causing all heads
to turn your way.

It IS the confidence
and peacefulness
that exudes from
your every pore.

It IS your love of live
and laughter
even in your
darkest hours.

It IS your caring heart,
always hurting
and reaching
for those less fortunate.

It IS your thirst for knowledge,
learning, stretching, asking,
growing and always on a quest
for a greater understanding.

It IS your comfortableness
with others
regardless of their
station in life.

It IS the way you make them feel
as though talking to them
was the most important
deed of your day.

It IS your lusty passion;
being an excited lady or a wanton slut;
wanting to take, to give, to please, to obey...
and, then, wanting more.

It IS the way you look at and to me
with nothing but love,
trust and devotion
filling your lovely eyes.

What is submission?
You make what
it IS so much more than
what it is NOT.

It IS you, my pet, my soul mate,
my lover, my best friend,
my submissive...
my perfection.

I just read this on a prowl of the board and I think it says it all and beautifully too!

It's always sad to read posts from people who have passed on. Every time I read Artful I get that feeling. I love to read his thoughts, he was quite articulate, but it is still sad.

Three Eyes Open's name was Virginia, and she passed away over a year ago. She was kind, a switch and a hell raiser. She had barely been able to join this community when she fell ill.

Even though it is sad to read some posts, it is good to have their words or thoughts to remember them by.

Rest in Peace Virginia....

I wish I didn ot understand what you are saying
I feel it deep within me

but I also remember that people can pass away
in many ways

Very True! And sometimes it is harder on the perosn left behind when it is 'in a different way'. There are so many ways to lose someone. All of them leave a scar.

Thats a beautiful piece of writing, thankyou....and also comforting to know people can still live on after :rose:
