Hiya folks Snoe here.*waves*
First of all what is a femboi?

In my opinion this seems to be a bit blurry to most people, considering myself one I'd like to clarify in my opinion what that means to me.

I believe that fembois and crossdressers are two different creatures of a similar breed, but often I meet people that believe them one in the same... who am I to say they're wrong.
Anyway in my opinion there's a reason they have distinct labels.
I myself do not crossdress which consists of trying to pass as female skirts bras ect...

Fembois or at least my vision of them are on the line of androgyny, girlish face, lithe frame, long or appropriately styled hair, but do nothing to hide their male nature albeit an adorable one.

Aside from eye catching and fem like attire or mannerisms I still consider myself male, though I'll admit that a femboi can EASILY pass for female should they wish venturing into crossdresser territory. I've done it as a halloween bet won fifty bucks.

So I put to you guys and gals

What makes someone a femboi in your opinion?

I think of it as celebrating (aspects) of femininity while still acknowledging, or being entirely comfortable with the idea of being male. It's about having your cake and eating it too.

People crossdress for many reasons.

I share your opinion. :)

Is this a cross-dresser or a femboi?

I don't know, I'd have to spend some time with him.
It's a flat cartoon. You'd have to enter the second dimension. And the bad news is? There's no way back from 2D.

My two cents:

I would consider you an androgynous male based on your description of yourself.

I consider femboys androgynous males who dress and act feminine, not necessarily full time.

I absolutely agree. While I enjoy looking at cross dressers, Tg's etc, what I really enjoying seeing [and would love to be with] are very feminine looking and acting guys but still a guy. A beautiful guy who just screams "I'm queer"! They are really
hard for me to find on the internet.

This is already an interesting thread, because it touches on so many blurred boundaries. As a trans woman, my sense of self is female and, as it happens, I'm not much into girly-girl clothes or acting hyper-feminine.

Cross dressers have a history going back to music-hall burlesque and their mission seems to be to put two fingers up to the gender binary to say "Yes - sfw, I'm a guy dressed as a woman and I love it. If you've got a problem with that, get over it." Quite often they have broad-minded female partners, not always, but often.

Fembois seemed to far more sexualised than cross-dressers. They tend to dress hyper-feminine-sexualised and are attracted to men ( anyone know a femboi attracted to women? ). Despite their outward feminine appearance and mannerisms, they are penis-centric and would no more think of having their penis removed than they would step out in front of a bus. Would submissive also be a requirement?

What deucie is looking for ( correct me if I'm wrong ) is effeminate gay guys. Maybe the problem is a social one? Maybe it is just too dangerous for fem gay guys to be visible without getting attacked by homophobic men? What we need is for the music industry to re-invent the 90's and Duran Duran: that way, being out and loud could become socially acceptable again. That would be fun :)

research

After countless hours of research and having had painful hours of lasting erections I have come to the conclusion that the femboi is actually what makes the world go round. Thankfully we have plenty to make that happen ;-)

I consider that a femboi!

And I consider that a crossdresser, BOTH of the above have their charms, but the obvious difference is one of them can make the simple step of being able to hide the fact of his/her gender. BUT to label someone without knowing them is also a dangerous thing.

Appearence wise though I stand by my statements.
I would dress like the first myself, tight clothes bare chest, cosey undies

You're very right, there is a very different mindset as well, as I've never had time to meet with a crossdresser I can't speak for their common tastes in partners, but I've read that a great many are actually straight. I myself am not, and I do wear feminine albeit it skater punk like clothes, and an amazing set of white swimwear.

I agree with the highly sexualised comment since my libidois often more than my brain can handles some days...gets me into trouble. Submissive isn't a requirement I think, very rarely I can be very dominant but I'll always assume the position of a catcher, so think female dom in manner of action and temperament.

YEP, love dicks *nods with a smirk* mine and others so I suppose in a way that does lie close to the center of what a femboi is.

Social one eh? Well that is a tough one, most folks can't get over the shocked of the flamboyant displays, comes down to spotting those subtle signs I suppose.

You're right Stickygirl. Femininity is something I like a lot. After I googled androgynous femboys I found more results to my liking. Seems Asian boys are big
into this look as well as some bands I'm not familiar with. Snake of Eden with these triplets are really hot.

ON a side note, in my internet travels I've found that there is a large majority of femboi's in a relatively secluded and misunderstood group. Since they're secretive to begin with and have a freedom in terms of not being judged by their peers.
