Hi! What is a Beta Reader?

Occupation: Beta Reader

Deffinition: An author's first time reader ( other than friends or family) before the actual editor. A Beta reader must have at a minimum:

• Good communication skills
• High School Grade level vocabulary and some english grammar skills ( american or british preffered)
• ability to read in a timely fashion
• an email address
• an opinion

An Executive Beta Reader should have all of the skills above and the following:

• A supreme love of reading, bordering on obsession
• an open mind to new things
• the ability to research the unfamiliar.
• the ability to multi task
• the ability to read more than one project at a time and not get lost
• time and energy and love to put into each and every author out there.
