What internet browser do you use?

I've been using Mozilla's Firefox browser and could not get the smilies to click in. I switched to Netscape which can be set in either Firefox or Explorer mode. In Firefox mode the smilies click in, but the banana won't dance (smirk). In Explorer mode the banana dances. What's the deal?

Anyway just curious what most folks are using. :D

Edit to add: I prefer Firefox (stand alone) because it's faster and doesn't crash.

I use Explorer at work, Firefox for forum browing at home, and Explorer for porn browsing at home.

Yes, I'm quirky and weird :nana:

There's a newer version...that may be why there's a frozen nana on your screen. ;)

The version I'm using is 2.0.0.2.

When I ran Firefox, my nanas often didn't dance. On the pc, I run Opera. On my laptop, I run Safari, and if I really have to switch for something I run either camino or opera. I never ever run IE. Every spyware or virus I've ever run into happened thru IE.

Thanks folks. I'll upgrade to Firefox 2 and check out Safari.

Safari is the mac browser. No idea if it would work on windows.

Oh. I'm jealous. Apple computers seem like art to me. Maybe I'll check out Opera then.

I used to use internet explorer. But the interface pissed me off. So I created a program that had most of the page with the internet explorer main screen on as provided by microsoft, and my own navigational interface on the edges.

I use Explorer mainly and don't have problems with it since they updated it. For writing my webpages, I use Explore, Foxfire and Netscape so that all the code ends up with webpage design that I had in mind in all browsers.

Aren't Firefox and Netscape pretty much the same? (Netscape being the Firefox engine with some bells and whistles that nobody wants.)

Nearly the same, except some Java scripts work in Foxfire and Explorer while they won't in Netscape. I just want to make sure codes work equally in all browsers. I only spend a second in Netscape to view a page. I don't stick around and actually write.

Personally, I just stick to html 4 standard code, and it'll look n work the same anywhere. It's a little neanderthal these days, but it's sure to work. I rarely even check it in any browsers than the one I'm currently using.

The Lit. skin you use can affect various things dependant on browser. I hate Java.

I have tried lots, and Mozzilla Firefox is pretty good, I even bought a couple of thier t-shirts to try to help support them.

Opera is good for no-frills, super fast.

Avant browser is the best

You can do like I did, keep your current browsers and use them, google and download Avant, install and forget it, takes a total of a couple minutes.

Then occasionally use it, very similar in looks and feel to IE, so you don't have to get used to something new, but it has a different core so it isn't targeted for hijacks and stuff. Ad-blockers and popup-blockers are even better than IE. It has a lot more flexibility in changing what and where you want toolbars, and you can change with a click.

IE is targeted for everything malicious, because it is the most widely used. How much better is Avant than IE?

Weeeeeeeell, guess what? The newest version of IE is almost an exact duplicate of Avant. Except of course they still have the most targeted core. Why is it like Avant? Prolly just a strange coinkiedinkie, or maybe they needed something new and just copied the best available.

Its a fast free download and install, keep your current browsers, and play with Avant once in a while, thats what I done, and now I use Avant more than IE or Firefox, almost exclusively.

Just My Opinion

I use Firefox and my nanas frequently freeze.

Like now, actually.

Yesterday they were dancing. This morning they were dancing. This evening they're having a rest.

Life can be hard for dancing nana I guess.

At least the frog is still licking and the cat is still roaring.

I use Safari, which is Firefox with an Apple twist. I keep Firefox and Netscape available, and am finding it more and more necessary to switch from one to the other. My online bank and some other sites that I use routinely seem to upgrade so frequently, one or more browser versions becomes obsolete faster than its replacement can be released.

I liked Netscape, but they stopped making upgrades for Mac back at Version 7.2, which has a certain vintage charm but is increasingly incapable of handling every function of every site. I keep it for times when Firefox and Safari run into glitches that only Netscape can handle.

When I rule the planet as your goddess, there will be no compabibility issues in commonly used technology. Starting with those little card-swipe devices at checkout counters, which will have the Yes/No/Enter buttons in the same positions whether you're at Home Depot or Macy's. No more "Cancel" where "Enter" is supposed to be.

I am passing up the many, tempting, obvious responses to your frozen nanas to simply say, I envy you.

It took me MONTHS after the introduction of new, improved Literotica, before I was able to mentally tune-out the sight of that damned banana just at the right edge of my peripheral vision when I'm typing in the message field, dancing and dancing and dancing and dancing, the same move over and over ad nauseum, eyes bulging, grin grinning, never once moving its stupid feet, looking for all the world like a deranged Village People Fan Club president tripping on elephant tranquilizers before taking us all out in a spray of random gunfire.

Christ. Now I'm seeing it again.
