Did you ever hear one of those songs hat just made you stop, sit up, and say "Huh?!?!?". So you went about found the lyrics and still said "HUH?!?!?".
This thread is dedicated to the utterly incomprehensible lyrics, the half-mumbled words that, even when you find out what they are, make no sense.
It's dedicated to those songwriters who went for a walk in Metaphor Forest and never came out and to the wanna-be poets who decided that there wasn't a new slang word thry didn't like.
So, to illustrate my point, here's the lyrics to Len's "Steal My Sunshine". This song still makes no sense to me in most places, catchy though it may be.
"I was lying on the grass on Sunday morning of last week
Indulging in myself defeat
My mind was thugged all laced and bugged all twisted wrong and beat
A comfortable three feet deep
Now the fuzzy stare from not being there on a confusing morning weak
Impaired my tribal lunar speak
And of course you can't become if you only say what you would have done
