But, if it was able to be done (which it can't be) what would happen is that the rest of the world would go up in smoke very quickly. The EU as well as the Asian markets NEED the money that flows in rivers straight from the US. If they blocked ALL sources of those funds, their national economies would tank in weeks.

Meanwhile the US would continue onward. It would hurt but we'd survive it because we have a resilient population and the ability to quickly mobilize new industry.
