What if...

What if ...

Indeed a powerful thought.
In deed a crushing blow.
In need of change.

What if Billy lost his number and Phil Collins couldn't find him

This never made sense to me. Why does Billy have to remember the number is he wasn't anywhere that they couldn't find him?

Now Billy, Billy don't you lose my number
Cos you're not anywhere
That I can find you, oh
Now Billy, Billy don't you lose my number
Cos you're not anywhere that I can find you, oh

The follow on is What if BOTH Billy and Rikki lose the number? Does that put Phil together with Steely Dan?

"Rikki don't lose that number
You don't wanna call nobody else
Send it off in a letter to yourself"

What if the plans they made for Susan hadn't put an end to her? How different would James Taylor's life have been?

What if he drank a 5th instead of writing his 5th?

I love this question..

“What if” such an open ended question.

What if you could change the world? What would you change first?

What if we had a date tonight? Where would we be going?

What if you had three wishes?

What if the US made it into the World Cup?

What if the three men I admire most,
the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost,
had missed that last train for the coast
the day the music died?
