What if the economy comes to such a point where the government can no longer pay unemployment, social security, welfare, and even pension funds?

I say there will be rioting and utter chaos of biblical proportion.

Will this ever happen?

No.

Because.......you know.....

The Chinese took it with fatalistic stoic placidity.

The German took it with fatalistic cadavre obedience.

The Americans will take it with fatalistic self responsibility.

In the end: it's the American people who killed their state, because they wanted it.

The American nanny state has utterly bankrupted our nation and caused the collapse of society?

You don't know, what a nanny state is.

You don't know what society is.

You don't know that America isn't bankrupt at all.

What you don't see, on what reason ever, is:

Real nanny states doin much better than the US of today, in terms of a save lifestyle. America doesn't benefit any longer from its freedom effects.

Your society collapses because everybody got too much to do minding his own self-responsible business - and vote for self-responsibility, as a sign of strength. In every society, there are some strong, who backup and protect the weak. Even in America. But Americans want wo privatize that aspect, and forget that the state is the one with the biggest money, who can easily achieve this. If you let him do. But, although you can vote for it, you see them as enemies.

YOUR people, doin what YOU want - YOUR enemies?

America can easily avoid any bankruptcy. It don't need to tax you. As long as you're not a millionaire. But , off course, taxes for the rich are a dead sin. To tax YOU not. Because you're self responible.

But hey, self-responsible guy: we're proud of you!

don't care. i can take care of myself without government involvement. and have been doing it for awhile now.
