What I like about George W. Bush

A Rhode's Scholar.

Would be someone that knows the difference between a tuber and a euphemism for "to defeat".

Well he is proof that you don't need to be intelligent to become President of the United States of America.....

Anyone can make it with money and family connections.
John Kennedy proved that years ago.........

He had the money and the slight name recognition, but I don't think anyone could honestly say that John F. Kennedy wasn't intelligent.

I can think of some nice things to say about GW. He's passionate about what he believes in, he's intensely patriotic, and his daughters are HOT! But there are about a hundred times more negative things about him.

nope. clinton beet him to that.

Clinton had no money or family connections, but was, as Azwed pointed out, a Rhodes Scholar.

Bush's SAT scores were crap and his dad had him slipped in to Yale with a phone call...how he got into Harvard Business school is anyone's guess, but I'd think it involved dubya taking one up the gipper, so to speak.

However....there is something I do like about GW Bush.

His faith seems very strong. He found Jesus, got off coke and booze and turned his life around. In this year's State of the Union address when he spoke about Americans looking out for their fellow man in the Faith Initiative, it was clear that he meant what he said. I like that part of W.

Strange that you can't find anything you like. I could easily make a list of things that I liked about Bill Clinton...I thought about it for a long time. I could tell you things I like and I don't like about GWB, it was only after careful consideration that I made a choice with my vote. I guess you don't think about it much.

This is a damn fine post and exactly describes my own feelings as well.
