I carefully chose their dialog so neither the husband nor wife actually lie to their spouse. It's about deflection and omission.

Well it does go on for two whole pages, though they're naked by the end of page one... Past experience shows that kissing and sweat and mentions of sex over a 3500-word page is too much faffing about before the action, for some stroke fans.
