What happened to the milestones thread?

It became a millstone around the forum's neck ;)

How many times do I need to vote?
Oh God no, the winners won't be announced until Dec 13. I'm just bragging on my accomplishments in November. BUT if you'd like to push me over the top, there's some voting you could be doing ;)

Congrats. My poor single story made the 25 vote threshold at 5.00 and is now down to 4.77
I just had another story do the same thing, knocked from five to 4.84 with a single vote. Luckily it wasn't in the contest but it sat atop the Sci Fi category for a month. Looks like another author wanted to move up on the list.

It will get swept.

No doubt, but it still sucks that a five star story got one-bombed outside of a contest.
Yeah, it sucks. I had a story happily midfield in the all time romance list, and a few quick bombs knocked it down so it's just outside. I thought about reporting it, but what's the point? It'll just get targeted again.

Always sucks to get a 1 on low vote counts.

I have a story with 21 votes, and any vote will drastically swing the total.
Like I said, I'm lucky it was a non-contest story. A beating like that on a contest story gives legitimate voters a license to vote low.

People one bomb because it’s effective.

If the sweep was an automatic background process that got rid of them every hour or so, it wouldn’t be so much of an issue.

Then I guess that might slow down other aspects of the site.
