I finally had a story of mine posted on the new story forum on 10/13/02. It was titled; "Katie Couric: A Night on the Town." It was first submitted on Aug 6th? and just now was posted.======== I was pleased at the response and the feedback I recieved on the story. {3000+ views; 25+ votes; and a lot of favorable feedback.} {I even got a feedback from the obtrusive and obnoxious "anonymous" telling me that 'My story stunk!" At last: I'm finally a literotica author!} Or maybe not!=========== I just checked my story submission page and found that my Katie Couric story is GONE: MISSING: Not any where on the board!======== What happened to my story? Where did it go? Why was it deleted? I finally get a popular story up on the site; and it doesn't even last a week? What is it with that??? Needless to say, I am not a happy author right now!=======I have sent a cuople of nice, polite e-mails to the webmaster@literotica address; but so far have heard nothing in reply. Has any one else had this happen to them??? Just wondering why my story disappeared off of the site!

Don't know for sure what happened to it...but I'm sure that Weird Harold or Laurel will let you know. Sometime back (over a year ago) I wrote a story and it had one little phrase that intimated underage sex taking place. Well...my story had been on the boards for nearly three weeks when it was discovered. And so it was yanked too until I was notified as to why...and told it needed to be corrected. I immediately did so...and Laurel :rose: (Thank you) got it back up and running right away.

Now...I'm not saying this is what happened to yours...but possibly. Have you re-read through your story to ensure that it meets ALL the Literotica guidelines? As I said...it can be something very simple thats initially (and easily) overlooked until someone points it out.

Anyway..hang in there and don't get discouraged. It's happened to a lot of us. Including Thesandman

I remain,

Thanks; Thesandman

It's just so frustrating that it takes so long from submission to actual posting of my stories; that I hate to loose one which seems to be doing well. Reposting a story means a two to three month wait before it shows up on the lit board for me. If my stores were able to be posted any where near the time most others seem to be; the occasional lost story or rewrite wouldn't bother me so much. I can only submit my stories via e-mail; {I use webtv which is NOT a computer BTW}; so I'm at the mercy of when Laurel has the time to play with my submissions to get them posted. I do realize that others have lost stories as well. It is a big club to be a part of on literotica according to the posts on the boards.
