The last I've heard is they cancelled all their shows and no one is saying how bad Scott Stapp was hurt. Has anyone heard anything new? Did anyone have to take their tickets back? Our show was going to be this Saturday night. I hope everythings ok with him!

He was in a car accident. He will be alright.

In other news, Creed still sucks.

I wouldn't mind Creed if they didn't make themselves out to be Pearl Jam at times.

They realized what pathetic rip-offs they were, and that the words "Christian" and "rock" just do not fit together, and decided to save us all the trouble of hearing their music anymore?

See Busty? You haven't lost it yet! That was pretty good, if not truthful.

And I thought I was the only one that thought they were copy-cats...

And then there are those of us who like Creed. :)

Ditto that. Creed may sound like others, but in alot of ways alot of bands sound reminiscent of other bands also.........

the Only people who label Creed Christian Rock are guess who? the unchristian world.

Creed doesn't themselves christian.

Christians don't label them Christian.

Only Non-Christians label them as Chrsitian

REO Speedwagon has a fan club too I bet.

You can tuna piano but you can't tuna fish.

Yup, went to their concert in the early 80's.

Okay, do you pay attention to their lyrics? "The only way is one"? My Sacrifice? "Can you take me higher"? Um, it doesn't take a theologian to recognize that their songs are thinly veiled religious ones. If they don't label themselves as Christian, or if their Christian fans don't label them as Christian, then they and you are simply in the dark.

Besides, it isn't a bad thing to be a Christian band -- just I don't think that Christian values and the rock and roll lifestyle necessarily go hand-in-hand. Creed probably don't label themselves as Christian so they can still fuck the groupies after the show and not feel guilty for neglecting to ask for their hands in marriage. :p

if it isnt christain rock, then they are christian rock wannabes... close enough for me

I had no idea they were in a car accident.

I will be going to a Creed concert on the 30th of this month. :(

My ticket was paid for & that is the only reason I am going - I am not a fan of them. I am thinking I can just watch Default perform & then sneak out for some beer & wait by the gates till the concert is over. I am sure my friend would not mind if I did such a thing ! ;)

I don't care much for Creed. Their songs are catchy for a while, but that's about it. I'm not a Christian either.

That said, Scott Stapp is the son of a minister. In his video, I think it was for "Higher" he sent half of it to the cutting room floor and redid it with and I quote "more Christ like poses". I think that's pretty much acknowledging that they have Christian influences.

Many times when tickets sales aren't going so well, the bands suddenly cancel the plans for them. Could this be the case?

Look at Hootie and the Blowfish, They went from playing clubs, to playing arena, and back to clubs now. You're only hot for so long, before people move on to the next "big thing".

Just a theory.

Is it the sounds they produce or the supossed image you feel they put forth that makes those of you that dislike them, well dislike them?
I saw a special recently where they admitted they have some Christian values so to speak and made a known choice not to hide it nor shove it down others throats so I don't know that right now I buy or really give a shit on that part of it. As for trashing the words used, can someone direct me to a thread or post where many of the rap and or hiphop artist (fuck heads is my preferred choice of words) use words as kill cops, parents, detroy and other really human feeling words where they receive the same attention as this creed thread is? And while I enjoy a few of creeds songs I'm not a fan so I'm not standing up for them, to me decent music is decent music and shit still smells like shit.

No you won't:

From http://www.creed.com/news/index.html

Creed have been forced to cancel the second North American leg of the band’s Weathered Tour. Specifically, all previously announced performances beginning April 29 in Fargo, North Dakota through May 31 in Selma, Texas have been cancelled. No make-up dates have been announced at this time, however the band looks forward to resuming their touring schedule mid-Summer. All tickets for these performances can be refunded at point of purchase.

I'm slow. I just heard about this Creed thing. So the singer got in an accident? Hope it didn't, like, mess up his hair. That'd be tragic.
