Does anyone know what's up with Literotica's sister site: AllExtremeStories.com?

They haven't updated since 6/14/01.

(I'm whining 'cause I have a story they've accepted to post - but that was back in May...)

Me too. I have a Chapter to a series that is going to be posted there and I'm waiting. I put up something in my profile that if anyone wants my chapter they can email me and I'll send it to them. So far have sent it to about 20 people! Kinda makes me feel loved. LOL.

Am I missing Something?

It appears that they haven't posted anything since 6/30/01. Additionally, the following is posted by the person currently running the site:

Well, it looks like Mr. Snoid is gone for good, so I guess I'm in charge now.

Previously, my role was restricted to running the servers. Mr. Snoid and his team of editors were entirely responsible for the content, and they did a wonderful job.

I'm going be making a number of changes, and I'm afraid you won't like any of them. I just lack the time and tallent needed to run this site in the manner to which you've all become accustomed. I do truely apologize for this.

The first change is that there will probably not be any updates for quite some time. I'm looking for someone who can take over the responsibilities of reviewing and editing submissions. I'm having a hard time finding someone who will be absolutely dedicated to the task, but willing to work for the small pittance (usually $0.00) I can afford to pay them.

The next big change is that I'm going to probably put all of the content behind an AVS system. When I was acting strictly as a host, I was reasonably isolated (legally) from responsibility for the content. Now that I'm more involved with the content of the site, I feel the need to take advantage of the legal protection offered by an AVS system.

I know that this is going to make regular visitors to White Shadow's somewhere between upset and furious. I've added a new message forum called "Opinions and Discussion" where you can express your outrage, speculate as to my sexual preference, or the size or complete lack of parts of my anatomy, etc.

If you have any constructive suggestions, I guess you could post those too.

Doesn't look particularly viable to me :D

well i actually didnt notice that msg on whiteshadow, sorry. well whiteshadow is down and that sux, but it was/is a good site thanx 4 telling me about that

AVS?

I'm guessing that an AVS is an Age-Verification-System.

I do not like particiating in those.
All it takes is a credit-card number...
- That I don't have. (I don't have a credit card.)
- That can be borrowed from someone else. (I had a roommate who borrowed her older Boyfriend's...)
- That can be stolen over the 'net. (And just Where IS that information landing?)

But, most of all: It just does not feel anonymous enough to be comfortable for me.

However, I can understand where someone else would feel the need to protect their own (legal) interests.

Well, shoot. I hate those credit-card needed sites too for the reasons you stated. How long is it going to take for someone to invent an Adult Identification Web License (AIWL) that you can get like a driver's license. Instead of a credit card, you could just use your AIWL number. Hey, someone invent that :)
