What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

Certainly more desperate.

Speaking of desperate, Boehner's fiscal cliff plan announced today.

Cobbled together by seven members of Republican leadership after being pressured from other members of the Party who were demanding a plan....ANY plan.

Good luck to Boehner selling it to his own kind. Cutting farm subsidies alone should derail it in-house.

And he says he's serious about avoiding the fiscal cliff.

No shit, those large corporate farms will never go for that.

Even if he did steal it. Nothing original has ever escaped Busybody's lips.

Just scrolled down the screen on that eye-bleed inducing, horribly designed site, which has a byline of "lunatic fringe" attached to its title.

Looks like it was tailor made for LCD loser shitstains like himself. No wonder his BFFs are rushing to save his maidenhead honor before the shame sets in like sepsis.

Geeze, what a butt horn.

I keep having to remind you, Vette...I don't get down with your ass play fetishes.

If you want a bit o' twosies action with your favorite toys, you best get with your little left nut-warming toady that's always coming behind you to chirp up like a good bottom bitch on a leash.

he takes after his mentor, pigsnoutdownsouth. :)

...lo and behold, Vette! There he is! :D

That was so easy to predict, even the Vegas baccarat chemin de fer didn't wanna get in on them odds!

NIGGER CARE is a JOBS KILLER, which is good for DUMZ, will put MORE voters in their coloum forever

On CBS, Cheesecake Factory CEO Warns ObamaCare Will Be 'Very Costly'

On Monday's CBS This Morning, Cheesecake Factory CEO David Overton spotlighted the looming economic impact of Obamacare's implementation, especially on small enterprises: "For those businesses that don't cover their employees, they'll be in for a very expensive situation." Overton also warned that the cost of the law would be passed on to customers.

Anchor Norah O'Donnell raised the issue of the still-controversial health care law: "One of the things that's going to change, of course, in the new year is ObamaCare, or the Affordable Care Act. How do you implement that at Cheesecake Factory, and how will you pay for health care for all of your employees?" [audio clips available here; video below the jump]

The restaurant chain executive pointed out that, unlike many businesses, The Cheesecake Factory is "already...paying a great deal in health care. So, we're not sure how much more it will be - or how much less - or what exactly we'll do. So, for us, it won't be as bad as it will be for others, which it will be very costly."

O'Donnell followed up by asking about the possibility increased prices for customers: "When you say it will be very costly, it will be passed on to who - the customers?" Overton confirmed that this would be the case: "Well, I believe most people will have to do that or cheapen their product."

It's surprising that the liberal morning newscast would bring on a critic of ObamaCare. The decision could be explained by anchor Charlie Rose mentioning ex-Al Gore adviser Dr. Atul Gawande's compliment of The Cheesecake Factory in a recent article in The New Yorker.

Rose later rephrased his co-anchor's earlier question: "Are you worried about this - ObamaCare - and how you provide the health care?" The CEO replied by again pointing out the high cost to businesses:

David Overton, Cheesecake Factory CEO; & Charlie Rose, CBS News Anchor; Screen Cap From 3 December 2012 Edition of CBS This Morning | NewsBusters.orgDAVID OVERTON: Not worried yet - and, when I hear the numbers, I might be. But, again, because we spend millions and millions of dollars today on health care, we don't know exactly how much more we'll pay. For those businesses that don't cover their employees, they'll be in for a very expensive situation.

When Papa John's CEO John Schnatter sounded the same warning earlier in 2012, liberals called for a boycott of the pizza chain. Conservatives responded by organizing a National Papa John's Appreciation Day online. It shouldn't be a surprise if left-of-center activists target The Cheesecake Factory next.

Why is it that conservatives complain whenever a law is more than 8 pages long and doesn't have colorful pictures?

Social Security Disability Becomes Popular Career Choice

Even after liberals have remade America in their own image, there will still be a place for men. That place will be on the Social Security disability roles:

In 1960, some 455,000 workers were receiving disability payments. In 2011, the number was 8,600,000. In 1960, the percentage of the economically active 18-to-64 population receiving disability benefits was 0.65 percent. In 2010, it was 5.6 percent.

One reason for the explosive growth is that you no longer need to be disabled to be disabled.

[Nicholas] Eberstadt [author of A Nation of Takers: America's Entitlement Epidemic] points out that in 1960, only one-fifth of disability benefits went to those with “mood disorders” and “muscoskeletal” problems. In 2011, nearly half of those on disability voiced such complaints.

It wouldn’t be easy for bureaucrats to prove that somebody doesn’t feel sad or have a backache. Fortunately for them, they don’t have to prove it. Their objective is to load as many dependents on the federal gravy train as possible.

As with every other serious problem we face, the situation is deliberately being made worse under the Obama Regime:

Between January 2010 and December 2011, there were 1,730,000 new jobs and 790,000 new people collecting disability.

It’s all part of the “fundamental transformation” of America into something unworthy of the name, which is personified by Obama but did not begin with him.

In 1948, 89 percent of men age 20 and over were in the workforce.

In 2011, 73 percent were. Only a small amount of that change results from an aging population. Jobs have become physically less grueling and economically more rewarding than they were in 1948.

The difference is that liberalism has had a couple generations to rot away our souls.

Because every time a new law comes along somebody's freedom is diminished. The country is awash in and crippled by federal gobbledygook as it is.

Excellent point.

For example, when Florida passed a law restricting pediatricians' ability to inquire of patients about gun safety, Florida diminished the freedoms of both the patients and the physicians.
