Report: Castro says Cuban model doesn't work

The only people who thought the "Cuban model" worked was Castro and his lackeys for the same reason that sanctions against Cuba don't work. They don't affect those in power, just the citizens who are already driven to intense poverty by the greed of their leaders. Castro never did without anything his shiveled little heart desired, the Cuban people however...

ah, then why do you want to bring the "Cuban model" to America?;)

Doesn't produce any interest for you unless you put it in a bank, but I see what you mean about it producing interest for the banker, which is exactly how they create money. What does the Federal Reserve Note promise to pay? Where does it promise to pay? How does it conform to USC 12 Section 411? It does not say it can be redeemed in "lawful money" as required by law.
Lol... you've already proved that the US Constitution is being violated.

Own it.

Federal Reserve Notes don't "produce" interest, they "draw" interest.

Sadly, the only people who see that possible bump will be those in power. Jose' el Gásfiter won't see any difference in their standard of living.

Most likely. The Cuban economy is in such shitty shape. That is nothing new, and not news, as you know. They are trying some piecemeal market reforms, but it is a long way away from anything of substance.

Nice av!

Cuba's poverty level has remained infirm for the last thirty years, and its "failing economy" is due to factors outside of its control.

I'm pretty sure "Florida" is very afraid...if Castro failed or fell....that will put a damper in Florida tourism....

thank god the obama vacation in Spain

There's a lot of tough love for the Cubano expats in Florida from what I've heard. I can't imagine your average dude in Jacksonville will be sad to see them go!
