What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

Hmmmmmmmmmm..........

Are you saying Obama took his eye off the ball in Iraq, that Biden was wrong about their victory?

Meanwhile, while Obama valiantly chases down every al Qaeda shepherd in Afghanistan, bombs and bombers are flowing out of Somalia as American Muslims flow into it...

He sings Jesus loves Me but substitutes Obama's name instead.

At least he's finally optimistic about America.

For so many years he was determined to root for failure...

;) ;)

We were begged for patience in Iraq? We won?

Well the truth is we did win. Sometime in the middle of 03. I think you can count a country as defeated when you've captured the leader. The occupation is what we are talking about now and shoudl be considered separate.

Our military is so socially bloated today that all you got to do to see it is look in a certain thread here on this forum so see 'em talking about how to game the system...

Actually, that thread was about how folks in the military CANNOT game the system. They used to be able to game a couple hundred dollars of deployment pay, but that loophole was closed by Democrats in congress last year.

Got any other evidence that the military is "so socially bloated"?

Yeah, U_D we gotten absolutely nowhere with all that stimulus and all that debt and sooner or later we have to service that debt with either massive inflation or massive taxation because the ideologue-in-chief isn't about to change course.

There is no more evidence that his father's dreams of equality are going to produce any more prosperity than they did in Japan.

Since we know he's not stupid, then creating a dependency state MUST be his goal as it was in Europe before us.

In January, round one of the tax increases is going to begin socking it to American small business...

You really think that's going to have a stimulative effect on the economy?

iPad sales accelerate

Three million sold around the world in 80 days, or one every 2.3 seconds

Here's a nice piece of news for Apple (AAPL) to lay on the tech press two days before the launch of its next whizzy gizmo: rather than slowing down, as some analysts had predicted, sales of the iPad have actually sped up.

It took 28 days for Apple to sell its first million iPads, 31 days to sell the second million, and 21 days to sell the third.

"People are loving iPad as it becomes a part of their daily lives," said Steve Jobs in a prepared statement. "We're working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more people around the world, including those in nine more countries next month."

The 3 millionth iPad was sold on Monday, according to the press release.

Apple is clearly benefiting from its overseas markets. The first million iPads were purchased in the U.S. Apple announced the sale of the second million three days after it began selling the device in nine more countries. It took buyers in a total 10 countries to push the iPad past the 3 million mark.

Apple hasn't said when in July it will extend its iPad marketing effort to the next 9 countries.

Great news for the Chinese made iPad.

Great news for the Chinese made iPad.

More than 2/3rds of your daily life is Made In China. Everything you don't think about that you take for granted. And if it's not China, then it's either Taiwan or India.

Why is that?

well, when you grow up and work a 12 hour day.....yeah like that would ever happen....then you can bitch about my mistakes....a little typo..big deal, you clearly understood what I was saying. Free that little mind of yours, and put away that little penis of yours…someone could get poked and I’m not sure you are up-to-date on your shots.

Chinese produces? Led to go with the Spedo?

Good lord..

Just the standard insults?

You need new material, or at least a break or two on those long shifts serving coffee and grand slams.

You should talk to the Denny's management about those 12 hour shifts.

I'd wager I was working 16 hour days before you were even a twinkle in your old man's eye, and long after the better part of you ran down the crack of your momma's ass.

But you go right on making ASSumptions. ;)

I'm sure your husband values your spelling ability as he thrusts himself violently between your splayed tanned legs seeking his manly release deep in your velvety womb as you dutifully sit nekkid on that kitchen counter, before making his sammich with his eventual creamy spend oozing down the inside of your thighs. :D

Why is it that the usual suspects have gone quiet about the Stock market since it's gone up by over 6% in the last 5 days?

waiting for the next dip so they can all scream in unison, "See! Here comes the double dip!"

It's like being on a rollercoaster with a bunch of 10 year olds.

Much like you do when the market is falsely propped up for suckers.

10,157.69 down -201.62 -1.95%
