What Genre Is Your Favorite?

Erotic Horror. Both. :)

(With BDSM a very close second, for both. :D)

Erotic Horror, and Non Human, I wish we had Erotic Thrillers writers out here. I've been playing with the idea of starting a series. Just wouldn't know where to post it.

My site? :D

Seriously, I might be looking for new content soon.

I'm in the process of completely over-hauling it and putting a nice new piece of a software engine behind it.

It might take a few weeks, though, with NaNo and all, but my site is primarily to showcase Erotic Horror and Erotic Thriller stories.

Can I let you know more nearer the time?

Reading:

Sci-fi,fantasy, and humour as can be gleaned from my initial list of writing gods (Bradbury, Adams, Dick, Gaiman, Pratchett, etc...)

Writing:

Sci-fi/fantasy with heavier leanings toward fantasy and various degrees of humour.

Depressing as shit tragedies, stories that make friends of mine weep like little babies, because I'm a sadistic little shit.

Anything that shows imagination. If it's not imaginative, I start to dislike writing it very quickly.

variety is the spice of life and so I don't really have particular out and out favourites, though when reading I do lean heavily towards fantasy (Gemmell, Pratchett, JV Jones,Tom Holt etc)

Otherwise i'm none to fussy really ;)

Reading:
Anything and everything from romance to sci-fi, westerns, classics, modern popular fiction, erotica, self-help, newspapers, magazines, etc. and so forth.

Writing:
Besides technical writing I must do for work? Romance. I write for school, too, mostly non-fiction or academic, but I'm a die-hard romantic. It's my favorite genre to write.

Reading on Lit: I'm a fan of well written Mind Control. Unfortunately a lot of the genre is complete tripe written by fift... sorry I mean eighteen year-olds who dream of turning their next door neighbour into a brain-dead sex slave. Aphrodisiacs, the loss of control and morals, a bit of non-consent and depraved fun are sexy. Necrophilia isn't.

I like lesbian sex as well (well, they are porn-efficient) and tend to dip into other categories depending on my mood.

Writing: I tend to try and counterbalance some of the tosh in the MC section by writing some quality stuff. I've ducked into Exhibitionists and Voyeur as well as Lesbian and Toys & Masturbation, but I do like a bit of loss of control aphrodisiac action for most.

On Lit. they're merely ill-defined categories (vs. genres). Still on Lit. I have no preferences whatsoever in writing or reading, just has to be well written and lewd enough for my tastes.

As a reader on Lit

My favorites are: (Reading)

1. lesbian love
2. Science fiction/ fantasy
3. erotic couplings

Reading on Lit? Mind Control, Romance and Mature. I like Lesbian when AHers post.

Writing: I seem to like Romance. I don't have enough stuff posted to categorize yet.

Absolutely Tatelou.

Thank You!

Very cool! I'll let you know when.

Sorry I took a while to reply, I just remembered about this thread.

Science Fiction to Regency Romance to Hard-boiled Detective to P.G. Wodehouse . . . multi-novel series to 55er flash stories. My tastes are quite catholic.

When I find something I like, I tend to devour everything that writer has written.

Most of what I write has a humorous element, or at least I think it has. At the moment I am chewing away at a longer piece (not Nano) which is not supposed to be all that funny.

Reading: I'm a trashy romance novel kind of gal. :D

Writing: I don't know yet, as I haven't written enough to find out what works best. I seem to have a knack for non-consent/reluctance, but I am slowly branching out into sci-fi, romance and non-human. I would love to write for the lesbian and erortic horror categories just to give it a go.
