Just curious.

your personal genre classification, even if it differs from what they are genred in the stores.

Rock.

And I like the song "With Arms Wide Open". It reminds me of my kid.

Christian Pearl Jam

I like the music and Scott Stapp is sexy, but he is NOT the next messiah regardless of what he believes or portrays. Have you seen his mother and wife? A couple of Tammy Faye Baker wannabe's! I wonder how many sets of assorted sized chisels they own?

Alternative Christian Rock

:p

Christian Pearl Jam

That's a close description. I'd amend it to read "Christian rock that wishes it were Pearl Jam, but will never be anything but derivative. And the lead singer is a prick."

There are quite a few Christian rock bands on the charts right now. Creed, P.O.D. (San Diego locals), and I think that Vertical Horizon is also Christian rock, but I'm not totally sure. Remember Jars of Clay? Didn't think so.

I remember them Laurel

:p

Oh, I remember Jars of Clay. But barely.

And I'd put Creed under Rock.

Please, nobody make the joke about putting them under a rock.

Creed under a rock?

I'd also have to classify them as Christian Alternative.....and I do like listening to them.

Forgive me, but who the fuck is CREED?

Oh, okay, I see.... nevermind. I was fine before, I am fine now.

Creed is rock to me.

I actually liked them at first, then I heard "Higher" for the 500th time and now I can't even listen to that song.

Hated "Arms Wide Open" when it first came out, but it grew on me. It's not one of my favorites though.

So far I like their new song.

Creed was fantastic until I ODed on them.

I seriously love most music...I listened to REM's "It's the End of the World as we know it" for 7 hours straight when a local radio station played it repeatedly before they went dead. And that still doesn't come close to how many times I've heard the rest of their junk.

Video Killed the Radio Star

MTV is one big lousy commercial...And christianity has little if anything to do with Jesus anymore...Creed? Today's effort at rock:cool: But I won't like you any less for liking them...My girlfriend loves Hip Hop if it's not too much Nigga Rap, and I can't stand much of it anyway...I guess no other culters ever danced or carried a beat apparently:rolleyes:

I'm now wondering wut a Culter is

Culture iz wut I meant...and I know people won't stop liking MTV because I think it sucks, and I don't attempt to make anyone think just like me

Maybe I can attempt to explain myself better...Is Led Zeppelin any better than MTV today? I know I wish Jimmy Page would use that Led Zeppelin thing he has to put together some Real Led Zeppelin videos to go along with Trampled Underfoot or In the Light...

I really strive to not be a part of the reason it's not safe anywhere in the world

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try

The MTV hero thinks it's wimpy

Happy Thanks GIVING

And I almost forgot to mention christian music I like:
Seeds of Change...If Ronnie James Dio on a Kansas album appeals to you, this is basically wut it is..."Kerry Livegrin: Seeds of Change" You can order it at any store

Randy Stonehill: Welcome to Paradise

The Best of Andre Crouch

and my favorite...Larry Norman: From Another Planet

Oh, and any Chuck Girard, especially: Written On the Wind

Creed is my favorite band. I take great comfort in their message of tolerance and understanding.

The band truly rocks out with amazing guitar work and a fabulously varied rhythym section. The lyrics are truly inspired, what overwhelming talent this group of men possesses.

Bands that are original and speak to the human condition are vastly overrated. Give me tedious poseurs anytime.

All hail Creed!

(I would file them under: Crud)

I'd have to agree with Chey on this one!! Though I'm not quite sure about the lead singer and the prick part......lol

But yes Laurel I remember 'Jars of Clay' I have their first CD it's really good

ToddH:)

I like some of it, but if I hear Arms Wide Open one more time, I may do something which the radio will vastly regret.

I'd put creed where i put most of my music... Alternative.

My sacrifice, Higher, arms wide open my faves of theirs...
sometimes i confuse them with Bush. if there is no one place for a group i put them in alternative

I have always liked Creed. I would classify them under rock.

I don't get the christian idea of what they are saying. I just think they sing about positive ideas.

Cassidy

BTW Love your av ToddH !!!!
