He just makes me fall in love with him again and again.
Today E and I went out for dinner. I showed him my newly issued driver's license since I had to change the one I had from my old state. Anyway, in the picture I wasn't smiling because I didn't know when they took the picture. The lady never asked if I was ready.
I was disappointed because in my old driver's license, my picture actually turned out nice. And I was always so proud when I had to show it because I actually looked like me in the picture.
So anyway, I was just complaining about how I don't like it because I was going to carry it and show it for ID purposes for the next ten years. And then E said, "But, baby, you still look pretty."
And my heart just melted like butter. I think I even turned red like the strawberries I was eating.
Excuse me while I drift in my wonderful cloud of memory.

that cat bird that's been watching me from the dish has taken to hovering outside my window and peering in. he does this about 3 or 4 times a day lately.
and right now there's a robin bathing in some of my many gallons of standing water.
