I think I've mentioned that I still see my elementary school principal out and about and it always makes me smile because he still greets me by name and asks about my siblings.

I ran into the mother of one of my first graders a few years after leaving and she told me he kept a certain something I'd given to him on his desk. She thanked me ~ it does go both ways but I still think I got the best part.
