When things are really terrible the only person I can turn to who can give me solace or advice or just an understanding ear without judgement is my older sister.

she raised two hard-headed kids alone, put herself through college and has always been there for me. She was both my mother and at times played the father role.

What I love about being an adult is now she turns to me as well, she is really a friend.

Honestly, I can pretty much tell my mom just about anything. Just about being the keyword. So, I guess I don't have any one family member I can tell "everything" to. That's why I have my 2 best friends I can tell everything to and can always count on them. But, keeping to family members, I am closest to my mom. Especially now that I am older, we are more like friends.
