What does your vehicle sound like?

It's very hard to explain what a well-tuned V8 sounds like. Especially if it's a fuel-injected Windsor motor with twin, straight-thro exhausts.
Closest I can get is a kind of a 'rolling thump' that lets you feel the power when you stand near.

I really love my big block and loud pipes!!! :D

We're rebuilding another car - this one has a 351 Cleveland and will likely be supercharged.
I can't wait to hear what she'll sound like!

I went and scored some more Mopar BB parts on Tuesday - another 383 block and 2 steel crankshafts. I also got an original 4-barrel carburetor for a '70 440. I'm planning to get the first block off to the machinist soon, and then the fun begins. :D

We've got a 4-barrel carb that needs to be rebuilt. Finding someone who can do a great job in little Tassie is proving difficult.

It's not difficult to rebuild a carb. Do a bit of Googling and reading and order the parts, and then have at it. I'll be doing this one later this fall.

I have a hemi small block sitting in my garage. It has been rebuilt. It was in a storage shed I bought at auction. I'm thinking about putting it on Ebay. I wanted to look up value but unsure of year. I don't really know shit about engines. The dude bidding against me said what it was a hemi and offered me 500 bucks. I figure a motor is worth more than that regardless of condition.

With everything else that needs doing, we thought we'd shop a few bits out.
But if we can't find the right people, we'll end up doing it all ourselves.
Which kinda sux because we were hoping to have the car finished in time for the big Show'n'Shine at the end of November.

It sounds like a fifty-five Chevy on a two lane blacktop road.

Mines a gas power car that sounds like a diesel truck with a motor about to fall out.

Anyone else curious about the new E-class Formula races?
Electric race cars, apparently.

It squeaks a little on the left heel when it's wet outside.
