What does this look say to you?

I can't punish her, other than a look and stern words. I tell her "no potty in house." Shake my finger and tell her no, no, no.

I think she needs to see a vet, maybe there is a reason she can't hold it all the time.

After the stern 'No", follow up immediately with a cheerful "Let's go for a walk" or 'Wanna go outside?'. Then take her out on a leash while petting her. She will pick up on your emotional vibes and tone of voice. Also, your body language.

She could also be a submissive wetter.... so yes, take her to the vet.

Most female dogs are.... :rose: She is beautiful.

She is my sweetheart. She would protect me within an inch of her life.

Ok, thanks.

Ahhh that look is so sweet. I have seen those looks before when i was in lodgings. They had a puppy German Shepherd. I was making a cheese sandwich and left the kitchen for just a few seconds. When i came back...well you know lol.

I think Elvira is saying to you..." sorry about your dinner mum. there is plenty more in the kitchen. I'll just lie down here and sleep it off.":D

Ok, thanks.

After some time of repetition doing the same things, going outside with you will become the high lite of her day. Dogs are typically pack animals. They communicate and learn better with someone who performs similar activities the same times they do. Let that dog know you are the leader of the pack by taking the lead.

Are you in an apartment that you have to keep the dog indoors overnight?
Rather than crating, why not gate a room? Say, the laundry?
That way, the pee is confined till you can get it sorted, and no chance of getting into the rubbish.

The rubbish thing is an easy fix though - make it totally unappealing. Citronella, white pepper or menthol will usually deter a dog from going into a particular spot.

My Lab gets that look when she has done something wrong. Like this morning laying on the floor beside the couch. I knew she had just jumped off of it from sleeping there last night.

She had a problem with peeing in her sleep. Its commom with Labs. A simple pill once a week cured it.

As far as the garbage goes...put it in a safer spot.
I put stuff on the couch to keep her off at night. No amount of training will stop a Lab from getting away with shit when alone

My dog usually gives me this type of look when she is caught after a kitchen raid. :D

Beautiful Dog Pink

Ha-ha. You have to laugh don't you. If food is left lying around any dog, even if the dog understands it's wrong, will still eat it. Ha, it's a risk they are prepared to take and face the music later with what i believe is a false sorry look. Because lets face it, 5 minutes after bollocking the dog they have forgotten about it. Very clever at doing that are dogs.:D
