What do you celebrate, why and how do you usually do it?

Bars on Christmas tend to be collecting points of desperation..... it's a damn near guaranteed 1NS that I prob won't even have to take to the house. Toss in a full belly and a good smoke, I gotta say it is a good day.

Christmas is a day where no one is allowed to be a bag of dicks, at my house.

It's also my grandmothers birthday. She'll be 85 this year.

It's often a day I can get a lot done at work because everyone is actually off the system.

i see it like any other day tbh

mmmhmm.... having a high concentration socially inept co ed's stuck away from home for the first time feeling lonely are nice to pick at like a vulture but that's about it.

Most cheer filled response so far....lol

It's a day in which most of the homeless people are in shelters, which makes it difficult to find murder victims.

Christmas has always been a day full of my mother yelling and crying, my father not appreciating anything anyone gets him, him insulting my mother, and all of her relatives. Everyone arguing and being told how we don't contribute to the family and will never amount to anything, and promises of never having another family get together again!

I love the holidays! Can't wait for them to be over!

Oh I know right? Gotta switch to hookers on holidays man...it's the only way.

Champagne breakfast followed by the opening of presents and a spot of cricket out the back.
After lunch we're all off to the beach.
Home for movies/sleep and more food.

/Christmas.

You Australians will eat anything.

Extra time off work, and that's the only good thing I have to say about the festive season!

This is what civilized people refer to as a 'possum:

Christmases have perked up considerably since the birth of my baby boy. He's 2 this year, and much more "in" to the magic of the season, which is awesomesauce, imo. He's half Dutch and half American, so we've celebrated Sinterklaas (5 December) and now we will celebrate the "kerstman" -- Santa Claus. His enthusiasm is contagious.

Before the wee lad, Christmases were decent. Nothing magical, but not altogether awful. It is what we make it, I suppose. And when all else fails, spiking the eggnog helps. :D

Sinterklaas for the boy, Krampus for the mother.

They're all out of possum at Woolies.

We're having turkey! *shudder*

I feel for you :(

I am lucky - the wallabies have been thick this year, and they come right onto my lawn, so it should be easy enough to get one on Xmas eve.
We'll be skipping the possum this season, as they all seem a bit old and will be tough.
Instead, I've decided to try roast penguin for the first time. Hope it's as good as they say!
