What does it mean, "lipstick lesbians"?

that's what i thought too, but i've also heard it used to describe fake lesbians ( girls making out etc to attract guys) and bisexual women. i do believe your definition is the accurate or accepted one, though.

the only person i ever heard use it to describe bisexual women was an older puerto rican woman i used to know. she was odd. in a good way.

Thanks. I heard it used to describe lesbians in porn, but wasn't sure what it meant. Lesbians in porn would usually fall in the category of the fake kind.

Me too. I think "lipstick lesbian" is a term used to describe any femme lesbian, whether she wears makeup or not. I don't usually wear any either, so it's always kind of irked me as a label. Then again, I really prefer identifying as a femme, so "lipstick lesbian" just doesn't feel like ME. Yes, I am a femme, but I'm not what most people would call a lipstick lesbian.

I've never heard the term "lipstick lesbian" used to describe a straight girl. What you're describing sounds more like bicurious to me! "Lipstick lesbian" usually does mean a full blown lesbian, the debate is mostly over what kind...
