What does "Draft" mean?

I know what draft means but for one of my stories that got rejected, I had to clarify the age of my characters. When I edited the text in the .doc file and then removed the old one from the form to replace it with the new one (same .doc file name) it just says next to status: Draft.

How do I resubmit the story?

Try deleting it and then re-submitting it, if it comes back as 'story already exists' or some such comment, re-submit with the title 'EDITED <<story name>>', and if that doesn't work, throw yourself on the mercy of Laurel in a PM and ask her to straighten it out for you.

Try giving it a new title. It usually works for me.

First, you shouldn't have deleted the .doc file from the submission. Instead you should have submitted a complete new submission with the title and description the same and the edited .doc file attached. Also added edited to the title.

You may have to PM Laurel to get this straightened out. Sorry.

My first, and most memorable, experience with the word 'draft' was in a postcard from the draft board.
