I've always wondered this. I wonder if it's much different than a male orgasm. It seems, at times, to be much more intense.

I have cried before from an intense orgasm. Also had giggle fits. I don't think it's more intense for women than men. According to developmental biology the male penis and the female clitoris develop from the same group of cells in an embryo. One of the most common mild birth defects in men is for the urethra to exit the body on the underside of the penis or below the penis; the same place the female urethra is in relation to the clitoris. From what I've read and studied, this is right on the mark. I think the contractions you speak of are important. Obviously as a man I know them. I've felt them in my wife during orgasm but primarily in her ass (if I have my finger in there) than in her vagina. Perhaps they are just more obvious there.

In thinking of this, it brings up the concept of female ejaculation. In some women, there are glands similar to the prostate that produce fluid that can be ejaculated through the urethera just as in the male. In most women, these glands are probably not well developed and stifled in growth during the establishment of gender in the developing fetus. In other women, the glands are much more developed and produce significantly more fluid. If this is true, then all women "ejaculate" to some level but in most it's so small as to not be noticed.

In a similar manner, it's interesting that some women have a clitoris that is rather small, very well hidden, and thus not much more than a little "bump". In some women, the clitoris can be amazingly large and indeed looks exactly like a small penis. I knew a woman once that had a clitoris that was nearly the size of my little finger when fully aroused. It truly was a sight to behold and obviously other men had commented on it before me. i have been known to have mini orgasms if i keep stimulating myself for awhile after my first orgasm. nothing as intense as the first one, but i have felt them.

the biggest thing that sucks is most guys can't have multiple orgasms as intense like women do.
