Last year was forecast that I would be. I had three other friends who were in the same boat (one is Jewish, but so was JHC). I cooked spaghetti and got everybody a little something, and we got together and hung out and watched movies. I think we all agreed that it was as easy and simple and pleasant an Xmas as we had had in a while.

I'm playing this year by ear, but still have it open for those who may be alone. I'll most likely be making more spaghetti, too.

Mom does Xmas on Xmas eve, so all the family obligations for me are over at 10 PM, 24 December. Xmas day is freeform, which is greta is one is "involved", so that one can then do Xmas with the SO's family.

I've been known to spend the day in bed reading, but that is thinking only of me. Two of those folks from last year were setting themsleves up to be depressed. I figured out the day at almost the last minute, and it seemed to be a hit.

I got a call from the ex a couple days ago - she's doing Xmas with her family a couple days early, so I'll get Junior from the 22nd until the 3rd of January, and I'm thrilled. I wish yours could have worked out as neatly.
