A loving caress, is my prefrence, but it rarely leads to getting on with the day, or at least not immediately. I once had a cercadian alarm that started out with a slow surf and built to a storm , compleat with fog horn that increased in tempo and volume, or it could be set to birds chirping, with other critters joining in and ending in a cat fight. It was really a pleasaent way to start the day (well not if you let it get to the cat fight.) Madam Samuari has a hard time getting up and I've treatened to replace her John Coltrain tape with the William Tell Overture.

What do you awaken to? Have you had a favorite alarm clock/sound in the past? Is there somthing new that you want to try out?

The cercadian sounds like a new thing, I will look into this. Where did/do you find such an alarm?

I wake up on my own every day. Same time. To wonderful thoughts and always remember a sensual amazing dream. One that I am looking forward to coming true. Then I will be waking up quite a bit differently.

I wake up to my winamp playing this song:

mood: happy
Ay, iyaiyai,
Ay, iyaiyai
A-a-a iyaiyai,
Where's my samurai

I've been searching for a man
All across Japan
Just to find, to find my samurai
Someone who is strong
But still a little shy
Yes I need, I need my samurai

Ay, ay, ay,
I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue,
Make the colours in the sky
Ay, ay, ay, I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue,
Make the colours in the sky

I've been searching in the woods
And high upon the hills
Just to find, to find my samurai
Someone who won't regret
To keep me in his net
Yes I need, I need my samurai

Ay, ay, ay,
I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue,
Make the colours in the sky
Ay, ay, ay, I'm your little butterfly
Green, black and blue,
Make the colours in the sky

Ay, iyaiyai,
Ay, iyaiyai
A-a-a iyaiyai,
Where's my samurai

Ay, iyaiyai,
Ay, iyaiyai
A-a-a iyaiyai,
Where's my samurai

Without fail, every morning I wake up to the buzzer on my coffee maker telling me the pots done. This is of course after I've slammed the snooze button on my alarm clock twice.

Oh MY! *Blushing*

My alarm goes off at 5am. If by some chance I don't hear that, the dog makes sure I'm up. I usually open my eyes to see the dogs nose about 2 inches from mine. If I take too long to open my eyes. He'll snort...blowing his dog snot on me. Its not pleasant so I tend to get up rather quickly once the alarm goes off.

By the way the cercadian alarm used to carried by Wal~Mart in the electronics department., but I haven't seen it there for a while. Perhaps a google search could turn one up.

I have the radio set to play as my alarm. That usually gets the cats to come make sure I'm getting up. Sometimes the cats beat the alarm and I wake up to a cat licking my hair or purring in my face. Either way is okay with me. No 1812 please, I'd fly across the room if that woke me up!

I wake up to my son, who has already stripped in anticipation of the day, poking me on the arm saying "mom" about seventy times.

Or, he just gets in bed and puts his cold feet on me and plays with my hair.

No need for an alarm here.

I awoke to a baby screaming. at 11, at 12:30, at 2, at 3, 4, and 5. 5:11, 5:30, 6, 7, and finally at 7:40. What I would love to wake to is a quiet house and be all alone and knowing the kids are cared for somewhere other than here. :D

Dear, that happens far sooner than you would believe. My "baby" (and the only child of four still at home) is 17 and is pretty responsiable, but I still make sure that she gets going in the morning. This "up and at 'em" time has been some excellent quality time just staying in touch with her. A teenager's world moves so fast, and daily updates are nessesary to keep from getting hopelessly lost.

By the way, where is Mr. Kitty? When our kids were that age, we alternated getting up and settleing them down, (assuming that I was in town.)

..

Usually I have an uncanny ability to wake up 5-10 min before my alarm actually goes off. So I usually turn it off and take a little bit of a snooze, I usually get up like 20 min after I turned it off.

Either the radio or this really hideous buzzing sound my alarm makes, or my pup yapping.

I wake up to my alarm buzzing Monday through Friday. I hit the snooze button at least 3 times, so it's set to start going off 30 minutes before i absolutely have to be up and moving.

Saturday and Sunday, i've been waking up to my phone ringing recently.

I wake up to both Beep, beep, beep! and Katie, Matt, AL, and Ann.

other times I wake up to the DUDE.

Usually my alarm clock set on it's lowest setting wakes me with it's beeping. Sometimes tho, I'm roused by the sound of 8 whining and barking puppies. I much prefer the alarm clock.

:)

I would much rather be woke up by my husbands lovin touch however since this isn't a perfect world its his damn annoying alarm then the "honey get ups" start ahhhhhhhh what a joy 5 days a wk...then its my darling teenager GO AWAY ahhhhhh yeah yes another lovely goodmorning,an ppl wonder why I stay up late or if I wake up early sit on my computer in silence :nana:
