I'm not sure if this the right board, but no doubt I'll receive guidance if it's not. I recently received a comment as feedback on one of my stories, which said, "I think 'cum' is the word you're looking for, not 'come'"

I've been writing stories for about a year now, but only recently found Literotica as a medium to publish them. My approach has always been to use 'come' as the word for orgasm, as in come to a climax, and reserve the word 'cum' for describing the product of orgasm, ie semen, sperm, jizz, etc.

What do you guys think? Am I completely off track or not?

Either works.

I've seen this discussed a few times and the consensus seems to always be that either spelling will work so long as the author is consistent within the story. No matter the topic, there's always the chance you'll run across a few opinionated souls who believe their way is the only way in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. If you spend your time trying to cater to them, you're just wasting your time.

perhaps this old chestnut is best raised in the Authors Hangout, so I think I will move this thread there very soon, unless I hear some good reasons not to.

I agree. Sometimes we virgins need to be shown the way!

Thanks Penny. The best argument I've heard for 'come' as a verb is the answer to the question, What is the past tense? 'Came' or 'Cummed'?

Nuff said!
