I've somehow got some kind of shitty adware that reset my search engine default from google on chrome. If I type in the address bar, it goes to spammy McSpam page. I've reset it three times via the settings and it does nothing. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Reinstall. You've got something in there that's not supposed to be there.

They just said to restart it. Every time I think I have it wiped clean I don't. It's starting to piss me right off.

Download Spybot Search & Destroy if you don't have it already, if the mode is not advanced, change it to advanced. Go to the Tools tab on the left. Then click on the Browser Pages.

You will see all the browser pages that have been set...Reset them all to the one you want from the drop down or type in a new one.

Good for you. Some characters do not get displayed correctly in Linux. Are any of you on Linux or the good ole apple mac?

Basically, I didn't know the differences between Firefox and Chrome until I switched.
Now that I did switch, I'm thrilled that I chose Chrome.
It's much faster than Firefox, and obviously much more so then IE.
I am interested in trying IE9 though. They don't spend that much on advertising and push it that fucking hard for some crappy browser.
However, I HATE extra toolbars, the main reason I switched from IE.

Do a complete uninstall then a clean reinstall, that should eliminate the bug.
