Whom you have feelings for, but 'I love you' isn't appropriate and 'I like you' isn't enough (sounds lame anyways).

The only thing that sounds right to me is 'I adore you'

Ideas? Thoughts?

I cherish your every word, thought, emotion.

If I was just to gaze into your eyes (just once more) I'd die a happy man.

Baby, you're the tops.

you are very special to me and i really care about you...

Good stuff folks...I knew it wasn't that hard.

I like 'I dig you babe'. Short and sweet, like when you say goodnight or just goodbye for now.

I adore you works if that's what you want to say.

Honestly - nothing anyone here gives you to say is good enough. Because it didn't come from you. You need to say what you have in your own heart and soul and mind to say. It has to be YOUR words...

Well said ideed.

Yeah, I've been in a similar situation. "I like you" seems to weak to properly convey the emotion and You don't want to say "I love you" for some reason or another. In my case it's because it's so volatile a phrase sometimes. Since English is limited for descriptions of the like/love half-step, you are probably going to have to get a little more detailed with how you feel exactly.:)

i've always liked....

Duuudddee...you're awesome!! you're fucking awesome!!

That certainly expresses enthusiasm! Something I lack none of!

And...thanks to all who posted their ideas. I think Dill was on the mark. Nevertheless it's inspiring.

You make me happy

I think you're wonderful

You are my Heart

We fit together

I'm not really good at this mushy stuff anyway.

One of the cutest things ever said to me was "I am in serious like".

Is this a romantic thing?

"My heart points in your direction....."

Is it a close friend? Why not just give them a non-amorous type of gift and say "Thanks for being my friend!"

Me either, I opt for Victorian eloquence.

"I'd climb a mouintain of glass, naked, with the anchor of the Queen Mary tied to my back for just the privelege of washing your soiled linens."

Sorry Zam, not much help there I'm afraid.

Ever think about just saying how you feel? They might run at first, but if there's any reciprocal feelings, they'll come back. If they don't, nothing you could have, or would have said would have made a difference anyway.
