What DO you like in a story???

Ok, some of my stories in LIT are going really well, some are going moderately well, and some are going moderately shitty. So i was wondering, what DO people like to see in a story??
My recient "Lesbian Blackmailer" has recieved nothing but extreamely postive feedback thus far and frankly i thought it was a little dull, and not my best story.
So tell me what you like to see! Please lol.

Silly me. I forgot that I was using links in my own signature.

My own favorite storyline is a twist on non-consent where she is resisting for some higher reason than because she is not interested. For example a repressed lesbian that thinks it is sinful. And happy endings.

Actually both my tales on this site use a similar approach.

I actually prefer to tailor stories to real events, feelings, fantasies, etc.

Adding that personal touch seems to make it more real and imaginable.

Realism is always a good touch, but sometimes I'm looking for something way out there! Geeze I think that this is a hard thread because everyone looks for different stuff when they read stories. No matter what you write, there will be people who can think of something that was lacking, or a different angle they wish you'd have used.

It has already been said, but realism is definitely top on my list. I like reading about real people, not perfect Ken and Barbie types. Also, a little inner conflict or termoil within a character, such as a wife being seduced into adultery, rather than immediatley jumping into bed. The final thing is a little characterization, so we get to know and understand the motivation of the characters in the story.

i'm into the fantasy stuff. like dungeons and dragons , the knight saving the princess , that sort of thing.. i love the fantasy storys lit has but there not meny i may try to write one but i dont know if i can.. anyhow if anyone knows where i can find some really good fantasy storys please tell me.

We're all oddballs here. I don't know of any fantasy sites, but I am trying to write my own now. Unfortunatly, every time I run an idea by my boyfriend, he says something like "Oh, like in ----??" and tells me the name of a book with the exact same ideas. Damned stupid people stealing all the good plots! = ) = )

PS - I don't know how to write stories about fetishes that I don't have...and I don't have a panty or thong fetish = ( If I did I would be happy to post a story for you guys. I could always include a character WEARING a thong...but that might not be the same. If a character gets gagged with a thong is that good? Or plays dress up in a store dressing room with some thongs because she's never tried them on and a clerk comes in and sees her and is like "oooh, let's get it on" is that good? Any replies?
