In Oshawa, we've also been given a brand-spanking new arena for hockey and concerts, despite the negative reaction the community showed during it's proposal.

The catch is that the city taxpayers foot the bill to construct it, pay Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment a fee to operate it, and pay for the extra police, fire, and civil groups to service it.

On top of all that, we still have to buy tickets to watch the game!

Yup, sounds like our situation.

Of course, if it had been for hockey instead of basketball they may have gotten my vote of support!

<---hating the lockout

Things I like abuot NC:

Food: Eastern NC BBQ, southern cooking, etc
Weather: NC weather is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.

4. That "hometown" feeling.

5. The Steeleers!

6. Lightning bugs & June bugs.

Things I hate about Pittsbrugh & Western PA:

2. Orange barrels!!

3. Winter.

4. Mosquitos.

I for got to add...Governor Ed Rendell aka Governor Swindell.
