What do you find in YOUR dryer?

When taking clothes out of the dryer (and sometimes in the washer), I'm always finding things that have eluded me when going through pockets prior to washing. Usually just change (hey...yesterday I found .55, and today a quarter in the dryer!). Sometimes I'll find a dollar or two (in bills). But I've also found ink pens, crayons, etc. Those are bad enough (ruined clothes), but the worst thing I've ever found in the washer and/or dryer has been my daughter's hearing aid! Yes, on more than one occasion. You would think that she and I both would have learned after the first time, but noooo. We had to do it twice. *sigh*

Anyway...what is the most interesting, or worst, stuff that you find in the dryer and/or washing machine? Or the most common (I'm assuming that would be change).

Yes, I'm bored. lol

I have found pieces of paper that my son had in his pockets, rocks, money...... I like finding that, all kinds of things that eluded me when I checked his pocket and some when he put them in the laundry as I was already starting it! I can't think of anything real unusual at the moment, but I am sure I can find something when I do laundry!

Nothing unusual...money, a button. paper, kleenex, a roll of lifesavers and once a pack of gum(squishy but intact)...

Yuck! Squishy gum! lol Yeah...paper...forgot that one. Always seem to find paper for some reason.

Toni...I've got a little boy, too....rocks are very common in my dryer! lol

All the regular stuff posted, but I will add my wife occasionally leaves latex gloves in her pockets (she's a nurse).

How about this question?
Have you ever had a dryer catch on fire because no one cleaned the lint trap?

It happened at my college. (And no it wasn't me.)

no but I have had the lint to be all one piece and very thick because it had not been emptied for several loads!!! Scary thought about it catching on fire!

Well, I've heard of it happening, but so far it hasn't happened to me.

ROFL! I think if I had no kids in the house who might accidentally open the dryer before me (yeah, right...like that will happen!), I'd wish to find a nekkid man in the dryer!

I've found a Chapstick before; I'd forgotten about that. Wonder what else I've found that I don't remember! With my poor memory, I MIGHT HAVE found a nekkid man! lol

BD and Toni

I always thought it was fun to clean the lint trap as a kid. After doing laudry in laundromats or laundry rooms, I have learned to clean the lint trap both before and after I use the dryer.

I still do that even though it is only my wife and I in the house now.

I once found Ice in my washing machine. (Had a hole in the foundation.

Well with all the hot air down there in Texas (and no I won't get started) I don't expect you to have temps far enough below zero to freeze up pipes and washing machines.

Seriously, I have a fieldstone foundation and there was a hole in the mortar letting in could winter air. *sigh* not fun.

ROFL! You're right about that! No wonder I couldn't imagine ice in a washing machine....I'm thinking from a Texan's point of view!

Right. Or as Noah would say, Rrrrriiiiiigggggghhhhhttttttttttt!

You probably have to deal more with boiling water shrinking your clothes, than worry about ice.

BTW, I just noticed that you were down in Texas as well, I know Toni is and was just picking on her. (See Brats thread for details)
