What do you write?

I've written a story that I submitted to lit awhile back and some things in the SRP forums here. I love writing.

I've been known to do some drawing and painting in my spare time. Not nearly as much as I should be doing.

What about painting objects? Gardening? Trying to think of more...

Painting objects? maybe. Might be too messy for the apartment.

Gardening? I am a city dweller, no backyard!

I'm gonna try out this embroidery stuff, but I may have to go back to aimless pacing and finger twiddling.

I like the eyes on the first one, very real looking.

Embroidery wasn't my thing, I tried it though a long time ago. If you get your project finished we'd love to see it.

I paint objects for Christmas. Just the little bottles of paint and a little brush and spare time. I get the objects from the local craft store. It's a cheap and easy way to customize ornaments and decorations.

I sometimes weave 4mm hemp into collars like this one:

And I sometimes weave silver wire into jewelry like this:

I also draw, though I've done little of it in years, and I write. I've had an article approved here, and published a few in an online magazine. And my poetry occassionally earns some friendly comments.

Thank you. Unfortunately it has stretched, so the pretty loops collapsed a bit. It sucks. I need to tie another and figure out how to prevent that.

In my down my number one hobbie is sailing either my 20 Ft O'day , the 18 ft catamaran or the sunfish. I also take several backpacking trips a year and enjoy gardening and my work shop. I am a busy guy

read. mostly fiction, mostly historical. in a typical week i go through 2 novels. but i've always wanted to learn how to knit, embroider and crochet.

I spend time talking with my kids. I like reading books that they are reading so we can talk about them later. I go to their sporting events.

I don't really have a hobby..just spending time with family reading, talking, swimming or going for walks with them.
