What do you do when a story you want to read is "awaiting moderator's approval"

The story in question is radiant7224's Brothers and Sisters Ch. 01 but when I click on the link (which I've only been able to find on other users' favorites pages, not under the author's submissions) I receive notice that the story "is awaiting moderator's approval." I find this odd given that I was able to read it previously and the rest of the series is available to read.

I've managed to find the story I was looking for, only to find it unavailable. What does one do in such a situation?

Try the link in your post but erase the "-ch-01" in the address bar, or go to the authors story list and click on the link there (the first chapter doesn't use the Ch. 01 extension).

That isn't the first chapter - it comes after Chapter 5.

Just checked..its only a 5 part series

It's noted as a five part series here, yes, but you'll notice that Brothers and Sisters was published after all the rest. Additionally, at least two members (cumcovered and scarlettjones) have Brothers and Sisters Ch. 01 in their favorites. And you'll note that the description listed there ("-The girls take photo's for Carmen's brother.") is different than the other five stories, and the date of publishing (1/06/10) is earlier than the other five stories. Finally, if one were to read the stories, they'd find them going in the following order: Ch. 02, Ch. 03, Ch. 04, Ch. 05, and finally the unnumbered chapter. Ch. 02 effectively begins in medias res, with Ch. 01 missing.

Well, you email the writer in question and ask they fix whatever the heck is wrong with it and resubmit it. Since it's "brothers and sisters" it's a pretty good guess that they slipped underage sex by the "moderator" and someone else reported it. Or maybe the family dog joined in. Anyway, then, it got yanked and the author didn't do anything about it. It happens. If the writer left Lit behind, it may never be fixed.

she's back!!!!

Obviously not. Why would I need to ask a quesiton like this? It's an interesting choice of handle, though.

sr, you probably need dark to unravel everything, but my fairly ignorant take is that there are differences in http tags for 'brothers and sisters'.

chapter 1 is http://www.literotica.com/s/brothers-and-sisters-4 whilst all the others are ...-ch-02, etc.

Is it that when you post a first chapter the system checks previous use of the title, hence '4', but there are no earlier uses of chapters 2 etc.?

All the chapters are live on the author's story page.

PS to add: KillerMuffin is way off beam here, I think. This is a techy not an editorial issue.

You probably need to read account names more closely. The OP is not my account. This isn't my question.

You are a misanthropic ratbag. I was trying to help. Perhaps you shouldn't have let things slide and been unwilling to offer help.

You were off in lala land as usual. You misconstrued who was asking the question. And now that that has been pointed out, you are just punting.

I don't have any knowledge in the question that was asked, so why should I have responded? Wait, I know. That never stops you.

Well, that's disappointing, but thanks.

Sorry that I seem to have caused some confusion with my handle - my initials are SR and my favorite airplane is the SR-71 Blackbird - hence the username.

My account name comes from the Blackbird too. As does my usual account name (habu) that Literotica wouldn't accept when I first joined here.

I'm afraid you'll find that you'll be getting a lot of grief by having an account name close to mine, however.

SR 71 - Don't worry man ... we'll just call you junior from now on...

I figured as much when I saw Habu in your sig. And, eh, getting grief on the internet, what else is new?
