what do you collect?

Stuffies...

I have always had a weakness for anything plush. I gave all my stuffed animals away years ago. Then, almost immediately, I started accumilating them again. I have bought very few of them myself. I have about a half dozen that I made at the teddy bear workshop at the mall (only 1 is actually a bear), 3 TY pillow pals, and assorted other plushies that have been bought and or won for me by my loved ones.

Why would I keep those? I didn't even want them around when they were alive...

And Also, Royal Daulton

Toby Jugs:)

Just the little ones right now, but have my eye on a really nice Mad Hatter In a Larger size!

I Am NOT At A Loss For Interesting Hobbies:) Just For Thicker, Longer Toenails! They Bust Off At A Certain Length:( So I only have a few good ones.

It Is A Great Party Gag! LOL

penguin stuff..

and rage.. i collect lots and lots of rage 24-7...

Collecting

I collect body art, which is really just a fancy way of saying tattoos. I have three myself, and will be getting more. Plus pics of any really exceptional tatts from my friends and tattoo shows.

Beer stuff. Anything. Any brand. I have a room in my basement that is for parties only. Bar, couches, etc. Everything on the walls is some sort of breweriana (got that word from ebay).

I collect Beanie Babies, which at this point are taking over my bedroom. I also collect those statehood quarters and foreign coins.

Pre-1900 science textbooks. You have no idea what they used to teach as fact!

Also, in a related vein, pre-1900 etiquette books, which allows me to know more about fish forks and napkins than is good for me.

Clowns, clowns....and some clowns. Get the point???

My wife has a clown coloring book we bought in 1975 on our 5th anniversary. We went to see Red Skelton and he was selling coloring books featuring the clown painting he had done. We got him to autograph it to.

The only thing I collect with any regularity is scars. Got at least two dozen to date. And a story to go with each and everyone.

Oh! I forgot...

I collect matchbooks, too... from all over the world. My grandmother travels a lot, and she gets me matchbooks from Ireland, Australia, China, New Guinea, France, South Africa... it's a rather odd thing, but atleast I'll never be without the magic of fire! I don't really do anything special with them, they just hang out and get used like everything else. I also have a large collection of foreign coins that I inherited when my grandfather died. He got them all during WWII... there are some really cool ones, too! But those are just in a little ziplock bag in my dresser. I'm wondering if I should find some sort of a display case or something for them... Nah... What's the point? I collect plants for my garden, too. I think I hate damn dear every plant that was ever raised by someone in my family. They all believe in sharing their plants. I have a pretty weird one too, looks like an inside-out daisy from Mars or something. Damn thing scares my cat. I wonder why. Maybe it gives off a weird scent or something.

I'm approaching my first wedding anniversary, and was wondering what "paper" gift to give my husband. Then I remembered that I've collected dozens of matchbooks since we started dating. I'm putting them in a shadowbox as a reminder of all the places we've been. I have one of the band at the show where we first met, from the restaurant of our first date, of hotels and casinos from our vacations, and from the resort where we got married. Just an idea if you want to keep any of them, even after the matches inside are gone.

Cookbooks and kitchen utensils-the older the better. BeeBee I am so freaking terrified of clowns your little It clown is scaring me-oh yes phobias I collect those too.
