Those who are given (or take) the title of the brain-trust for a given society.
"The bolshevists killed the Czar's Intelligencia." yet were not the likes of Marx and Lenin the intelligencia of the Bolshevists?
Identity Politics:
What hyphenation are you?
Should your Congressional Representative be sensitive to the needs and political agenda of:
Conservative Anglo-Christian Farmers?
Nigerian-Immigrant-Street Vendors?
Islamic-Women's Rights Advocates?
Or, heaven-forfend... he or she represent all the people within the District!?
Fundamentalism:
You asking the Person, or the person talking about the person??
"We're Christian Fundamentalists. If it ain't written in the Bible, we don't preach it."
"Those Palestinians, who do not accept Israel as the ultimate authority in the region are Fundamentalists, and can not be reasoned with."
Eco-Feminism:
Ya, right. That's when your desire to sell the last Old-growth timber in British Columbia to the Japanese is challenged by a lesbian lawyer for the Sierra Club.
OR...
It's women who only use tampons made of recycled fibres, wear only free-range cotton or hemp clothing, and have taken the pledge to return men to their rightfull position in nature.
Breeders who make a tasty snack.
Like the habits of a Praying Mantis or Black Widow Spider.
