Just what in the hell are they swirling and storming and destroying about?

Someone out there must know the answer.

Hurricanes are just 2nd fiddle to a Typhoon in frequency and intensity.

Terrestrial weather (including cyclonic activity) is pretty tame compared to outer planets and solar storms. The anthropgenic principle holds that Earth weather is of just the right size and intensity for humans to exist. Doesn't mean we'll be comfortable, but it beats falling into a sunspot.

Hurricanes are like little girls. They only want to dance around and wreck stuff.

Oh yeah, and in the northern hemisphere they always spin right, so they're fascists, while below the equator they're all commies. At least they stay in their own hemispheres.

I was under the impression it was in an effort to recover the plane from a flat spin,
The cloud seeders ditch the seeds all in one go whilst spinning around and around.
It doesnt happen often but the resultant hurricane size and intensity is dependant on 2 factors:
1:The speed and altitude of the spin.
2:The amount of seeds ditched.(The "Magic bean" factor).

Actually in the northern hemisphere they spin left (counter-clockwise).
