so i was going through my old reports from school and looking at the coments say that i am easily distracted too laid back and stuff like that so thought i would start a thread about it.

what sorts of comments did you get in your school reports?

Mine said I would most likely waste my adult years posting on a porn board in threads by someone who only asks questions and never has a conversation with people.

As if!

it said i was destined to beat some dickhead with a nonsensical name made up of three consonants and short series of numbers with a large rock. at the time it didn't make much sense, but things have changed. now it is all too clear.

From 3rd grade: eyeread doesn't pay attention in class and doesn't play well with others; has a propensity to say "piss off" too much; has no friends

"Performed his role in the form play very well."

I was aged 9. I was too large to be on stage with the rest of the cast because there was no role that year for a Giant.

I was Tinkerbelle - off stage ringing the school handbell on cue.

Some years later I was an understudy for the school production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado. Understudy for which role?

One of the Three Little Maids. The producer was worried that I might actually have to take on the role. I was taller and larger than any other member of the cast, a member of the school's Rugby scrum, and my voice was beginning to break. It did. Before the Dress Rehearsal. I went from being a boy treble to a Basso Profundo.

I was on stage during The Mikado - as the Mikado's axe-carrying Executioner - a non singing, non speaking role.

I had a good report for that performance too.

But my best report was for Physical Education in my last school year. I had a B+ and the comment "Good but not outstanding".

I hadn't attended a single Physical Education class that year. I had the choice. Do Physical Education or try to catch us with the exam subjects I had missed while abroad.

Years later at a school reunion I asked the PE teacher about his report. He said:

"I probably couldn't remember you. If you weren't there obviously I wouldn't have remembered you. But if you had been in the class and I didn't remember you, you must have been reasonably competent. If you had been very good I would have noticed. If you had been very bad I would have noticed. If I couldn't remember anything about you - you were better than average..."

Should not be allowed in public without a responsible adult.

Does not play nicely, especially with others.

Keep away from sharp objects, guns and people.

On one hand "LC" is bright, pays attention and does excellent work, but socially he is moody, ill tempered, doesn't play well with the other students

first line of my last report:

''d is something of an enigma.''

darn, I don't have any of that old crap w/ me. Maybe I'll remember to see if my mom still has some of those old boxes next time I take a trip to see the old parents. Hilarious stuff from others so far though!

Mom would come to school
and as I'd sit there softly cryin'
teacher'd say he's just not tryin'
got a good head if he'd apply it
but you know yourself
it's always somewhere else

Fall Semester, 4th grade: "Polly is a bright girl, but does not apply herself fully to her school work. She is not living up to her full potential."

Spring Semester, 4th grade: "Polly has really buckled down these past months and has worked hard. She always has her homework done and is the first person to raise her hand to answer questions. Sadly, it seems our initial report was inaccurate. Polly was, in fact, already living up to her full potential. After studying diligently for a spelling test all week, not only did she not get a single word right, she spelled "decision" with a "v." On a math test, the students were allowed to use calculators. Polly's answer for 345.2 x 574.7 was "Casio."

Recommendations for 5th grade. Desk should be near a window so she can watch birds and squirrels. These seem to calm her down.

Thank you Jesus for his departure!:D

I may have been a little bit of a..."Pain in the ass!" for the school.:D

I still remember the Vice Principle begging us to stop skipping school with those "Girls" before we cost him his Job.:) Good Times!
