What did you do this weekend ?

Friday night, I went to the city with my guy and we watched Evolution, the new vampire movie. It was pretty good. Saturday, we went bar-hopping and hung out with some of his teammates and their girlfriends. The funny thing is that the teammates were true gentlemen toward me, while their gfs were skanks. I kinda have a rep on campus since I'm out as a bisexual woman and vice-president of the Gay-Straight Alliance. The president of the GSA is Nick, a nice guy who lives off-campus with his boyfriend of 3 years. Anyhow, we went our separate ways some time into the evening and then watched some tv at home. Sunday, since it was unusually bright and sunny, we went outside. Drove around for some time, went to the country buffet, had some food, and then returned home. helped each other out with schoolwork. slept together.
and then I woke up alone this morning, since he had to take off early for morning classes.



What did YOU do this weekend ?

I took my partner to a camping ground near a river where we stayed for 2 nights.
We watched stars, drank wine and really relaxed together.
Was great,, shame to be back in the real world again.
Look forward to doing it again soon.

I read an amazing book cover to cover - been a very long time since a book grabbed me so strongly that I had to finish it right. then. but that may be because I don't read much fiction these days. Anyway, it was called Nickled and Dimed: On (Not) Making It in America, by Barbara Ehrenreich. Go read it, it will make you cry, scream, and change how you vote.

graded papers, worked on my thesis, played some WoW, went out to eat had a light row with the guy at coffee shop over coffee ( I ask for coffee he asks me back what coffee. damm it I want regular coffee why do I always get a question in return when I ask for a bloody coffee ) went to friend's house and started firing up the grill to have chicken ended up badly coz we were very hungry and the damm thing didnt cook properly so left it like that went to olive garden and had some garlic bread.

What did I do this weekend ?


Saturday morning, I got a nice surprise from an old friend whom I hadn't seen in almost a year. My mentor, Mr. Dinka. A nice, older Black man who has been my trusted friend and mentor for a long time. A good man. We sat down, I bought him a cup of coffee and we caught up on each other's lives. It was quite pleasant. A few hours later, I picked up my other half and we went to see Tristan and Isolde. It's a tragic story.
James Franco was brilliant in it. Sunday morning, I went to see Mr. Dinka again and we chatted some more. I got picked up by a friend a few hours later and went to the Mall. I walked around, browsing, bought some candy, read up part of a book for class and then walked myself home (4-5 miles). I watched Pumpkinhead on Sci-Fi. Switched to Comedy Central real quick and then went to bed. This morning, I'm heading to class at 11. I hope it's not boring or anything. Anyhow, see ya.

Friday night Miss Amy (the g/f) and I cuddled, watched a movie, and other stuff.

The next night we went clubbing with a few of our friends.

Sunday I spent recovering from the night before, called my mother, brother, sister, emailed the old man, and had lunch with Miss Amy and a few friends.
