First Lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to raise money for the Democratic National Committee on Oct. 11 at the Hancock Park home of “Everybody Loves Raymond” creator Phil Rosenthal and his wife, Monica.
President Obama was scheduled to attend a $32,000-per-person fundraiser this past Monday at the home of producer Marta Kauffman and her husband, Michael Skloff, but that event was postponed because of the crisis in Syria kept the president in Washington.
The First Lady’s event includes a photo reception and roundtable discussion, the latter being billed as a first-time-in-California one hour “off the cuff discussion” with a limited number of guests.
The event also is being pitched as open to donors and their children. Tickets for the reception and photo line start at $1,250 per person, $2,500 per couple or $4,000 per family of four, according an invite sent to potential donors. Tickets for the roundtable start at $10,000, rising to $32,400 for co-chair levels.
