No place is perfect. I think we can all agree to that.

As far as Lit goes, what's your biggest pet peeve?

Mine? It's going to come off as bitching and quite frankly I don't care....

Men are not supposed to have their cocks as their profile pictures, but every single day I see lots of them. Yet I've had threads shut down for violating showing people having sex.

And you? Biggest Lit Peeve? & go!

Um - I find the Search function clunky.

And cockatars are pretty naff, but they tend to disappear pretty fast.

Yeah, the search feature is hit or miss.

I haven't noticed that. There are certain guys that I've seen their cocks a whole lot more than I would have ever wanted to! LOL.

The thing I find most irksome is how judgmental people can be about other people's sexual picadillos. Most of us are here to explore something, so I would think this would be a pretty judgment-free zone. But I've seen plenty of examples where someone gets dressed down for expressing a preference for something that is different from the majority.

I get that we're not all going to agree - I like to think of those moments as opportunities to gain an understanding of a different perspective. Too often, it turns into soapbox grandstanding.

Which, in turn, typically leads me to think of one of my favorite movie quotes: "Lighten up, Francis."

;)

Agreed, on both counts; poor search function and self-righteous judgynesss.

What bothers me the most are those who's sole purpose when they come here is to incite conflict.

I would love nothing more than to get on here and meet and make new friends, but between the judgy and the childishness, most often I just end up turning it off.

(Agree, Francis really should lighten up) ;)

I agree! Interesting threads have been closed while men showing their cocks remain.

People don't like folks who sin differently from them! The only thing that angers me (in real life) are people exploiting children for sexual gratification. What goes on between consenting adults is their business. I might think it's weird, but that's okay. I'm entitled to my opinions and I keep them to myself. I'm just selfish like that.

I would love for guys to put cockatars in their profiles, if they must have them, and keep the damn things out of their avs!

I love everything about lit. It's a good place to hang out.

Bearing in mind that it's completely free...I'd feel Churlish complaining about anything!:D

I love that word 'churlish'. So.... English... sighs...

But, getting back to the subject at hand...

People who THINK they can tell others what they can and cannot put in their personal ads. Sometimes snarky trolls like to ridicule and run them off. They're the mean girls or bitches of Lit. They think they're funny and others are blinded, but... when you get called out in a thread and then make it your mission to gain information about the one who did it... and write others to spread your lies...makes me think you're pretty miserable at home.

:D

I agree... People who hide behind their screens and spread vitriol... Nasty.

This and this; which is why I stay in my attic most of the time.....

I dunno..
I'm pretty laid back, but I've got to admit, there really are a few fetishes that should disappear.

I don't have to name them. Most are (un)common sense, apparently.

I guess I just feel like a imbecile encouraging someone who's got a thing for his underage mother pissing in his mouth, yanno? (<== Tried to catch a few of my least favs in that one sentence..:D)

Having guys turn threads into the Indy 500 when posting - where they MUST post immediately after a guy posts on any thread that has women actively participating at the time.

It's like they are leaving their scent on every thread in hopes a woman will jump their e-bones. Reminds me of the bad old days when I went to Adult Friend Finder. I'd hate for lit to become a meat-market, cesspool like that place.

And as far as specific threads, and this could start an avalanche, but just one for now: Fuck or Pass. Even if it's mostly guys cockblocking other guys, seems such a cold concept

I totally agree that the Gb has hoth interesting content and some great people. But it seems far too touchy a place - I really don't come here for arguments, or to speak to some people who are, if I can say, idiots.

The playground on the other hand - all delightful 😁

Any issues or gripes I might have with Lit are little more than a dislike of bullies, narcissistic self perceived elitists and vendettas over someone being slighted or simply teased. People take this place far too seriously for their own good and become self destructive.

The targeting of threads due to a personal vendetta or a dislike of the thread’s opinions or sexual content. There’ve even been instances of Litsters deliberately trying to shut down another’s thread by posting verboten material and then reporting the infraction.

I just don’t get the level of pettiness required for the first, or the need to impose control on others in the second.

And, this^.

Dear Lord, put those things away!
