What Authors Seek...

As an Author of hot erotic stories, what is it that you personally seek? Would it be suggestions on a new story topic? Maybe more exposure, and more daily readers of your work?

As an author, you must have a desire [or three] you would like to share.
If you have a hot list of stories, I would love to know where to find them, and I certainly would enjoy private communications.

I am a female in Florida who is a CPA and an erotic Internet Librarian.

Getting off is always fun. But sometimes a story pops in the head and won't stop bugging you until it's written. I My first story took an unexpected turn but got good results so I tried to repeat that success over a fair number of series in the same vein just to see if i could. I've also experimented with a variety of styles.

Certainly not suggestions for a new story topic. I have hundreds of part-written stories on my hard drive, and thousands of story ideas in my head.

More exposure? I have more readers, if views are any indication (another discussion about validity of views), than if my stories were published as books. Literotica has so many members, so many hits per day, that it would be difficult to find anywhere that gives more exposure.

What I would like to do is to write the perfect story. Every one I write is an attempt at writing the story in my head. If I get half of the potential story written that is an achievement. The closest I have come recently was my Winter Holiday winner Christmas Truce. I would like to write a better one than that. Whether I can? I'm not sure.

My goal is to stun readers and overwhelm their psychological defenses like a sexual tsunami would. And I wanna imbed it within an offensive story. A sexual-violent-racist BLOOD MERIDIAN.

I don't have a single answer. I enjoy writing, so there's that. Beyond that, I'd like readers and feedback. Without those, the writing would cease. Like so many things in life, the enjoyment is in the sharing as well as the doing.

I consider myself an EROTIC LIBRARIAN since I manage a site on the internet that has quite a few authors from Literotica, as well as a few other sites, where the authors enjoy also having their stories posted. Since I transfer the stories myself (so the authors do not have any work to do, other than focus on what they do best, writing, I also make sure to carry their copyright statements. In addition, I make it my business to review an author's work and select those who are truly erotic in the writings. Hence the term Erotic Librarian. I can be reached directly at GoldDomme at aol .com for those authors who would be so interested in learning more.

I seek stories, the telling of them, the reading, the discussing of. I seek the potential for discovery and re-discovery that they offer, the gaping hope for absolution they present. You can search the entire world, listen in on every confession, every vow, every backyard pinkie-swear promise, and you will never find something more true, more real, than the made-up story a man tells himself when he thinks no one is listening. I seek the sooth contained in the myths we repeat when the actuality of our history has become too much for us to bear. I seek humanity, spread thin on the page like butter, a shifting blob caught in transformation, between forms, part solid, part melted mess, but filled with flavor and tasting of life. I seek stories.

I'm also seeking to be less dramatic; I'm still working on that part.

It's the expression and sharing of stories. Once the story is written and read, you're like having "mental" orgasm - something like release of dilemmas or being stripped naked showing off your thoughts and being understood.... That's what I feel like...

Personal satisfaction (of various varieties) and the evidence of satisfied readers.

For me, reader satisfaction is nice but not necessarily expected. I sometimes write 'challenging' pieces (and have the rejections to prove it -- I need to setup a LIT-REJECTS website) that will not gather many ✿✿✿✿✿ votes. And some stories have garnered high ratings and adulatory comments, for which I am grateful. See, I *can* write crowd-pleasers. [/me strains arm patting self on back]

Other factors: Write and rewrite my own and others' personal histories. Process: consider how my characters and I reached the points we have. Play with words and ideas -- let the plot bunnies (and punnies) and gerbils run wild -- include in-jokes, sly witticisms, obscure tech details, a little rare vocabulary, etc.

No money so far, but that could happen. Right...

First, I like to tell stories. The sex is a nice bonus.

What else do I want? People to read my stuff are always appreciated, those who share their opinion are treasured, but VERY few in number.

Money and fame would be nice, but that's wishful thinking. The genres I write in are just not "hip" enough for mainstream success and I'm just not dilligent enough in my research for mainstream fiction.

1) A pony.
2) To have sex with the pony.
3) Permission to marry the pony in a state that recognizes your right to love and be loved by the pony.
4) The ability for the pony to speak.
5) Permission to divorce the pony in a state that recognizes your right to become quickly disillusioned with a pony that only talks only about itself and its love for oats, a state that also has the proper zoning laws to allow you to later open up a bed and breakfast with a stupid but hot-bodied donkey that specializes in cooking and foot rubs.

No? Really? Guess it's just me.

I'm looking for a creative outlet and a way to improve my storytelling skills. I also enjoy the positive feedback from the tens of people who read my work.

Sexy librarians are a fun idea, might have to think of a story about one.

However, after seeing the site the OP has in her profile, I can't help but wonder if she is fishing for more stories to post on her own site.

OK, yeah, I'm paranoid. Apologies if I've insulted anyone.

Money? It's always nice to know that people want to read your stuff so much that they'll actually buy it. :D

And a discreet amount of fame ;)

Money and power and a crown, and a throne, and for all to kneel before me... a little closer.

I want to submit stories that people enjoy and that balance literary competence with something that will at least get people halfway off. If I can put a decent plot in there too it'd be nice.

What I want in return is to know that someone has liked what I've done. I can't ask for more than that.

The sexy librarian has a cameo in my ONE BLADE OF GRASS story (linked below). I really need to feature her in her own right. I must write a planned RON'S JOURNAL story about the ones who got away, including the sexy librarian, the USMC wife, the park ranger, and the deceased friend's sister (at his funeral). But the sexy librarian will be the headliner. Hmmm, in order to garner sympathy votes, some (potential) sex partner must die. Not the librarian. No, I think the park ranger will be crushed by a falling boulder. Then Ron gets to console her daughter, the sexy botanist, who does not resemble THIS sexy librarian but is great on her own merits.

But I digress. What I *really* like as an author is receiving adulatory comments, public or private (but public is better) by readers who have actually closely read my tales and find the little snicks and snares embedded therein. Yes, I love careful readers.

Don't wonder - she's said it herself back a few posts. And it is clear from her other started threads that she interested in having Lit authors post on her site - I guess she needs the material to draw in the adverts?
