What are you?

Are you a good person? Do you like to smile. Can you hold an intelligent conversation that doesnt include my boobs for at least 10 minutes? Do you treat your elders, your parents with respect.

Then I dont care what your race is, it would not bother me.

I second this Fi  Race doesn't matter. What kind of person you are, does.

1/2 Pakistani, 1/2 Arab. Is that bother you?
Why would that bother me?

First man I loved was half Indian (like, from India, not cowboys and Indians type Indian)

Completely English, purely from the West Midlands as well, we're not great movers.

<~~~ is jealous

now.. let me say.. I'm proud to be American.. maybe not always proud of our leaders..but proud of my country..however.. from the moment I stepped onto British soil 2 years ago... I've felt like it was home... and I miss it

is why white women no go out with ppl like me?

I would guess it has nothing to do with your ethnicity and whole lot to do with your personality and attitude...perhaps if you learn to accept yourself and your own background, you will begin to accept others as well and find a whole new world waiting out there for you....you're the only one who can do it for yourself.

Wow - I'm not sure *what* I am, except an American, proud of my country and people and seriously concerned about our so-called leadership who seem to be mere flotsam following the tides of "public opinion" and the undertow of corporate donations than to be ships of state breasting the waves and moving toward any coherent goals.

As far as ancestry - oy! I think I'd have to define myself as "pure mongrel."

My mother's father was apparently 100% Polish from the South Side of Chicago, her mother descended primarily from English (and perhaps some Irish or Scottish) settlers in the early years, as her grandmother (my maternal great-grandmother, born in 1883) had traced family branches back to the least notable of all U.S. Presidents, Franklin Pierce.

On my father's side, his father was either second or third generation German, marrying within the German immigrant community until my grandfather married. She became LDS (Mormon) in her later years, and traced *her* family tree back to a cousin (second cousin?) of Daniel Boone, so there would be some English roots there, too.

Holidays? Whatever WalMart decrees the season is.

Mostly English and Scottish, with some Creek and Cherokee Indian thrown in for good measure, though you wouldn't know it by looking at my pale ass. :p
Bunny, i can see the native american in you; thru the high cheekbones, long straight nose, and set wide apart eyes.

i was able to spot Fi's native american in her before she said anything about it. :rose:

I forgot to address the issue of holidays. There were some German traditions to our Christmas. My father's mother was raised by very German parents (neither really spoke English) and they had kept all the traditions which she brought into the home that my father was raised in. As a result there were some things we did that came out of that.

Really? Cool. I've never heard anyone else say that. :)

I definitely have the long, straight nose thing going, though. *Nods*

i'm a mutt and proud of it

I do not claim to be any of the above but most people who look at me think Viking or Scotsman. When I went to Pennsic i was there mostly in Scottish garb, decided i very much would like to do Viking one year... but part of me has issues with that since they weren't the nicest of people... but neither am i Grrrrr. growl... snarl.... **looks around** what?

I felt the most at home ever when we were in Scotland in the highlands. It just felt right

If you ever want to find out what your mom is you can do it through genetic testing

I honestly don't know. Word from my dad has it that my mom's side is English and my dad's side is Scottish and that we have some Cherokee in there too.

There are tests you can order where you give a sample of your blood and the test will reveal what nationalities are there and the % of those.

I'd love to do this one day, just out of curiousity.
