What are you watching?

Watched the first episode of Shrinking. It hasn’t grabbed me so far. The only character I really like so far is Jessica William’s.

A couple of movies revisited today.

First was Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which may be as good as the first. Fortunately, I only remembered about half of it. I wouldn't call the mayhem silly - it fits the tone they set (which they do well) and becomes a gleeful bloodfest. More of these movies, please.

Next, an old favorite: Clint Eastwood's Hang 'Em High. Following the huge success of his and Sergio Leone's "Fistful" trilogy, this was his first starring role in a Hollywood film, and it does not disappoint. With a solid story and great acting from Eastwood and supporting actors who were, or would become, staples of U.S. TV, it's a great homeland start for an American Icon.

Also featuring the beautiful and talented Inger Stevens, this film is a sad reminder of her tragic life. In short, with a bad childhood, she seemed to be looking for love and acceptance wherever she could find it, having had affairs with many co-stars over the years. They ruled her death in 1970 a suicide by an overdose of barbiturates, but her sad story is much more than that.
